Boehner: Time For Gop-led Congress To Deal With Immigration
Breitbart ^ | 11/6/14 | Tony Lee

Posted on 11/06/2014 4:07:39 PM PST by jimbo123

On Thursday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said it is time for a Republican-led Congress to move an immigration bill forward, so long as President Obama doesn't "burn himself" by enacting executive amnesty before the end of the year.

-snip-

Referring to immigration, Boehner also said that "it is time for the Congress of the United States to deal with a very difficult issue in our society." He noted that immigration has become a "political football" over the last ten years and said it is his personal belief that "it's just time to deal with this."

It’s distressing to see Paul buy into the myth that Hispanics are natural conservatives who would be voting Republican if not for harsh rhetoric and mean Republicans.

Most Hispanics hold liberal views on most issues. They are natural Democrats. Outside of Florida, the number of times the GOP has actually won the Latino vote in a big statewide race can probably be counted on one hand. Abbott did great to get 44% Tuesday, but that still means he lost Latinos by double digits to an extremist liberal.

Increasing legal immigration, as Paul seems to support, will only hasten the demographic destruction of any hope for conservative government.

You have a razor I could borrow? I’m getting the appropriate places all cleaned up and shimmy because I am eagerly awaiting the attention it’s about to get.

Might wanna prep yours too since you, me and maybe 20 others on FR were the only people with enough guts to speak the truth and try to stop people from repeating the Romney Follies.

All they has to do was ditch Mitch or Jonbon but no.

Lets also direct every one of the illegals to the towns of the idiots that demanded we elect their saviors NO MATTER WHAT. Because they asked for them.

Who's "they"? Are you blaming FReepers for the fact that Turtle and Boner are the GOP leaders in Congress?

I am blaming the people who, knowing Mitch and Bhoner had promised Amnesty if they were given power, voted to give them power. Because they are the people responsible. Where, or with whom, other than the people that empowered them to grant amnesty, do you feel the blame should lie?

It is completely appropriate to assign blame to its proper place.

When Republicans say they want to “deal with” Immigration they are saying they want to grant an orderly conferring of amnesty so that the coming Permanent Democrat Majority and Total State doesn’t happen so precipitously as it would should the Sultan simply grant amnesty all at once to 30 million or so wetbacks. But those Republicans do want that Permanent Democrat Majority.

I don’t think all the FReepers combined could swing the outcome of a school-board election. Criticize if you must the way your fellow FReepers voted. But to blame them for Turtle and Boner being the leaders? LOL. If only we had that much power....

I didn’t say just ‘Freepers’. If freepers cast their votes for Mitch and JonBon, they have blame. If non freepers cast their vote for Mitch and JonBon, they hold blame as well.

They put them in office again after the well publicized promise to pass amnesty, ergo they are wholly and completely responsible for their actions in doing it and the actions of the men they elected. If you disagree with that, I don’t know who you do feel is responsible.

We blame Barry’s zombies for electing him. We blame Pelosi’s voters for electing her. Because they are the ones responsible. Does it not logically follow that the Mitch/JonBon voters are also responsible for electing them? Yup. Because thats how elections work.

You know, there are a lot of people doing their bit out there. We here in VA scored a pretty impressive scalp earlier this year. And best I can tell, of the 17 GOP House pick-ups this week, some 14 are Tea Party. That’s not half bad for one election cycle.

Just how quickly do you think the people can purge the GOP of its RINOs? Surely you didn’t expect Boner to lose the Speakership next year?

If you ever thought that anywhere near 51% of the incoming House GOP class was going to be TEA this year, then you were delusional. And if you weren’t delusional, then what’s the point of all the See-I-told-you-so, If-you-all-had-only-listened-to-me, blame posts?

Unless you’re bored with an awful lot of free time on your hands. In which case, carry on if that’s what gets you off....

So should I mark you down as ‘no, voters are not responsible for their votes” or “Yes, voters are responsible for their votes” ?

Because any free time I have or my opinion on it isn’t the issue. Nor is trying to divert to it. People either are responsible for the votes they cast or I am completely uncertain of how anyone arrived in DC to begin with.

Nothing in my post suggested voters aren’t responsible for their votes. Nice try, though.

Boner was *never* going to lose his Speakership next year. So blaming the voters for failing to accomplish the impossible in 2014, is pointless. That is all.

I didn’t say you did. So you agree with me then based on your answer that people are indeed responsible for their votes.

Then the people that voted for Mitch and JonBon are responsible for them. And my initial post stands in agreement with your position. Sympatico.

The guest worker program would include:... ...5. a rational path to citizenship for guest workers

If an amnesty deal is on the table, I don't understand why it would need to include a path to citizenship. Why wouldn't you stop at a path to a green card? These people entered illegally, there is no reason they should ever enjoy all of the privileges granted to legal immigrants.

There must be no path to citizenship. We need to be able to deport the criminals, and denying the vote to "citizens" would never fly.

“It’s distressing to see Paul buy into the myth that Hispanics are natural conservatives who would be voting Republican if not for harsh rhetoric and mean Republicans.”

He’s not buying into anything. It’s all about money and trying to make a name for himself to get more of it, period.

Get the Boehner monster off of his throne. USG has become a football game, two teams, playing the same game. There is not _nearly_ enough difference between the two teams. They both represent DC a land far removed from it's actual law, fathers, traditions and Creator.
