In many ways, the GOP uses the Tea Party the same way that Democrats use blacks. Use them to get elected and then turn your back on them for the next few years.

I could be wrong but after reading the Nesmax article and reading the Politico article it supposedly is distilled from - I see a game of telephone: 2 words out of McConnell are turned into a surmise by Politico and after that it’s run through Newsmax to come out as: Ted Cruz put into dungeon! I think the original point was: we have a majority now - we don’t have to use the same methods - threatening default - that scared grandma out of her wits and gave John Stewart something to babble about endlessly. They want to re-brand as stable and actually working, versus standing there and shrieking and posturing - essentially outside the workings of the government. In DC all mics are hot mics - all media is enemy media and everything you say can and will be used against you. I too, given that - want to see actual discipline and not histrionics coming from all of them.
