House Speaker John Boehner issued a stern warning to President Obama not to use executive action to bypass Congress on immigration, telling the president on Thursday "he's going to burn himself" and "poison the well" if he goes down that path.
The warning comes ahead of a major summit at the White House where Obama will meet Friday with congressional leaders of both parties. The meeting is the first chance since Republicans won a majority in the Senate -- and built their majority to historic levels in the House -- for all sides to sit down and discuss a potential agenda for next year.
Boehner and presumptive Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell began to lay out their agenda items on Thursday, but the House speaker blasted Obama for a day earlier vowing to pursue executive action on immigration before the end of the year.
"If he acts unilaterally on his own, outside of his authority, he will poison the well and there will be no chance of immigration reform moving in this Congress," Boehner said.

Or, maybe both sides want to trumpet for openers.
Still, if history is any guide, Obama is serious; Boehner and McConnell mprobably less so.

I think John & Mitch should stay home and just send Ted Cruz - Obola would go ballistic (but Ted can handle it!).
Poisoning the well (or attempting to poison the well) is a rhetorical device where adverse information about a target is pre-emptively presented to an audience.
Imagine if Reagan vetoed the 1986 amnesty bill. Then he did executive amnesty and by 1995 Congress was closer to what the people wanted on enforcing immigration laws.
Boehner and others want to pass 80% of Obama’s ideas on immigration.
Boehner is just afraid that Obummer will get to amnesty before the RINOs can.
So our choices for amnesty are
1) obama EO
2) RINO legislation

Oh that’s right. Boehner has said impeachment is “off the table”. True to form the republicans prepare for battle by disarming.
On Tuesday they were given a huge opportunity. They better not squander it.

Empty posturing. Blitherous bluster. I have no doubt...after twenty-five years of learning....thar boehner can wait to cave...falter...have sex done to him...and concede to evil. Not even the SLIGHTEST hope in me this time. Ain’t tryin’ to kick the football again. Nope. Anticipation of disappointment only.

Obama has nothing to fear. This is just empty rhetoric and he knows it.
Obama has NO RISK of “burning” because the “opposition party” leadership has already surrendered to him by announcing that investigating his regime is “Not a priority” and that using the power of the purse to defund Obama’s agenda is not an option.
The system of Checks and Balances is broken. A lawless Executive that is not held to account is in no danger of losing it’s dictatorship.
Boner and the GOP will drink the water and say that it tastes like Kool-Aid.
We may have to March on DC with our pitchforks.
The cryin oompah-loompah and the Sin-ate post turd-le are unfit to lead. Both are Soetoro enablers because both are RINOs.
