Libs trashing Saira Blair, an 18-year-old Republican who just won a seat in the WV legislature

This could be the nicest thing you read today, via the Wall Street Journal:

A West Virginia University freshman who did most of her campaigning out of her dorm room became the youngest state lawmaker in the nation Tuesday.

Republican Saira Blair, a fiscally conservative 18-year-old, will represent a small district in West Virginia’s eastern panhandle, about 1½ hours outside Washington, D.C., after defeating her Democratic opponent 63% to 30%, according to the Associated Press. A third candidate got 7% of the vote.

In a statement, Ms. Blair thanked her supporters and family, as well as her opponents for running a positive campaign. “History has been made tonight in West Virginia, and while I am proud of all that we have accomplished together, it is the future of this state that is now my singular focus,” she said.

Ms. Blair campaigned on a pledge to work to reduce certain taxes on businesses, and she also holds antiabortion and pro-gun positions. She defeated Democrat Layne Diehl, a 44-year-old Martinsburg attorney, whose top priorities included improving secondary education and solving the state’s drug epidemic.

She’s more mature than Senator Robert “Sheets” Bird....now deceased - only death could get him out of the Senate...

People are finally voting and showing demo-rats that they do NOT like socialism...and like the babies they are - they wine and cry - name call - and make excuses....

Yes, I know. Don’t always have that luxury, though, so a synopsis is always welcome.

“absurd to elect a 18 year old. Absurd”

When there was perfectly good commie, sorry democrat on the ballot also.

I find it absurdly funny that libs are showing their true colors.

Saira is an actual student. Fluke was a career student. Wasn’t she i36 or some such?

Liberalism is a mental disturbance. Don’t try to understand them.

If you think Twitter is bad, over on Reddit, the freaks are out in force, although we are giving it back to them just as hard.

Anti abortion and pro gun... WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE! THE ****!

Aww. A budding pro-coal, pro-business tax breaks, anti choice, pro-gun hatchling. Just what the people need right now.

Because abortion and taxes are so much more important than a heroin epidemic and high school dropouts. Jesus Christ what a stupid woman.

Politics in America. So easy, a rich privileged white kid can do it!

She’s anti-abortion and pro-gun. So were slave owners. Limiting access to population control means more ‘slaves’to work for the Massa. Like Walmart.
I smell corruption here.

This little f**kwit defeated a candidate whose aims were to improve state education and, presumably, approach drug use in a way that’s not completely draconian and retarded. So instead of an experienced lawmaker, we now have an 18-year old reactionary idiot who openly aims to set her state back half a century by adhering to a worldview that is not just blinkered and outdated but also completely toxic. But she’s so young!
Well done!

A Freshman with a mouth full of Ron Paul’s shriveled member is the future of American politics.
We are truly f*cked.

I will copy this story and pass out copies at the next school board meeting and ask ...

Are we leading our kids correctly ?

'Course everyone will sneer and chide me that we are a school board and not teachers ...

And I will remind THEM ...

WE are responsible for choosing the curriculum

The first 5 points should be required qualifications for all candidates throughout the U.S.

That ad shows another reason for liberals to dislike her: plain language.

Liberals have to hide their true views under globs of linguistic makeup in order to make it seem like something good instead of what it really is. This candidate simply states what’s she for, clearly and plainly. No doubletalk, hedging, qualifiers.

Born in 1981, so she’s 33.

Supposedly Fluke is an attorney, but I don’t see where she’s actually practiced law. Kinda like a community organizer we know.

And if she were a flaming leftist, these people would want to come up with a way to change the Constitution so twenty-year-olds could be elected President. The most offensive comment has to do with how she was “bred.” She is attractive and intelligent - not a character from “Deliverance.” But that won’t stop the open-minded, accepting, diversity-celebrating left from tossng out a damnable stereotype of Appalachian whites.

I think what really p!$$es them off is that she beat their candidate...that in the minds of voters, she was a better alternative.

Neener neener!

I heard this young lady being interviewed on FoxNews this morning. She was VERY composed and knowledgeable, handled herself very well, evidenced that she has a great understanding of constitutional conservatism and is both intelligent and attractive. She will have a great future regardless of what career path she pursues IMHO.

http://guardianlv.com/2014/05/west-virginia-teen-wins-gop-primary/

From a lefty site, but good info on this young lady.

“If the youth of America are the indicators of the future, the young Blair might be a good example of where the Republican party is headed in its future. In her own words, she is pro-life, pro-gun, pro-marriage, pro-family, pro-business, pro-jobs and pro-West Virginia. As a Republican platform, those stances are easy to unpack. She opposes abortion, She is against gun control. She is against gay marriage. She wants small government and few government regulations on business. She wants to cut taxes”

I expect that in four years, at age 22, Del. Blair will have her BS in Economics from WVU, will probably still be a member of our House of Delegates (a part time job), and will be starting other worthy endeavors.

Sandra Flxxx will still be a whiny little bitch pretending to be a student
