Health care inflation has gone down every single year since the law [the Affordable Care Act] passed, so that we now have the lowest increase in health care costs in 50 yearswhich is saving us about $180 billion in reduced overall costs to the federal government and in the Medicare program.
President Obama, news conference, Nov. 5, 2014
When making a claim like this, the president needs to get his statistics right. Uttering this claim without any caveats is going too far, even when making allowances for the fact he is speaking extemporaneously.
The president earns Three Pinocchios.

There is a point to be made that if no one has insurance that pays for anything anymore.... medical care is gonna have to get a lot cheaper if they want to sell much of it.
My wife’s insurance went from $68 to $300 and my 6 year old son’s went from $105 to $200.
B@ll-sh!t regarding the savings. Maybe he means welfare medical is saving more because they have taken more household money from families like mine to pay for the takers (which are growing inspired to not work and pay taxes).
Hey, he opened his mouth and lied. What else is new?
There are articles out there to your point stating that most that have these lower end high cost Obama care policies don’t use them because they can’t afford to get medical help with the huge deductibles often into the many thousands of dollars.
Reduced inflation means it went up less, I suppose. That’s not true given taxes, penalties, fees, co-pays, deductibles, AND premium increases. And I heard 13% bandied about as the amount obamacare is going up this year. 13% is right there with all the other increases in the last 2 decades or so...and on the high end.
And like I said, don’t forget about taxes and penalties that didn’t exist in the past.
“Obamacare has reduced health-care “
And that was as far as it needed to go.
That he is.
Health care premiums have not been reduced, just how much they go up because of Obolacare! Is that he's sayin'? Fifteen Pokeeenos!
Joe Wilson is still my hero. He called it early in...he was dead right.

Wrong thread, LOL.
I work for a major company and despite their efforts to keep costs down my premiums have increased substantially. I’m healthy, non smoker, etc. Look up the definition of “pathological liar” and don’t be surprised if you see Obama’s picture. As a consolation it’s gratifying to know he and his Nazi RAT party got an old fashioned ass kickin’ last Tuesday.
Proof positive that Liberalism is a mental disease, ya think?
Even if 100% true, it hasn't been around long enough to have any kind of meaningful track record.
LOL. I noticed that one too. Hilarious. (Or not.)
December 2013 - Coverage for my Wife and I = $1,200 a Month.
Policy cancelled due to Obamacare Requirements. Had to switch to Insurance through my former Employer’s Retirement Plan. Ironically, we are counted in the “newly insured” bogus statistics because we had to find a new Plan.
January 2014 - Coverage $1,600 a Month.
January 2015 - Coverage will be $1,800 a Month.
The pricing includes approximately $150 a Month to cover Dental and Vision coverage which we have always maintained.
Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for that $2,500 a Year savings Obama PROMISED to offset the increased Plan Premiums, NOT.
Yep, things are dandy. In 2015, my Healthcare Premium will exceed my Mortgage Payment for the very first time.
