See the large blue portion in Mississippi? That's Bennie Thompson's district. When he was first elected to Congress in 1993, he was essentially broke. Now,he's worth over 20 million dollars.

In the meantime, the rest of his district is the most poverty-stricken in the U.S. You take away Bennie Thompson's district, Mississippi ranks 20th-30th in all pertinent categories (education, income, teenaged pregnancies, obesity, etc.).

Yes. It appears the coast is the issue. All the transplants go there or oregon or washington. Why they are so dem is a mystery to me.

The blue blob in commierado represents libtard strongholds, denver, ft collins boulder. All 3 have universities and denver’s mayor, chickenpoophead, is now governor by a too close to call election.

My “Bush Country” tee is worn out. I’m gonna replace it with your “From 2008 to 2014 Maps” on a new tee. It’s fun wearing wearing it to the mall or grocery store.

Add to this the fact that 28 Senators who voted for Obamacare will no longer be there as of January.

Where do you think all the RATS are going to squeeze into? since America fired them last night.

They’ll sneak back in as best they can. Rats infest even the best places, if they’re allowed to.

It’s heartbreaking.

They will have to move into stressful jobs at lobbying firms, DC law offices, think tanks, and academia.

I hope the area has enough mental health professionals to sooth their stress.

In Arizona, it’s the Universities - the U of A controls almost all of Pima County, and NAU is the lifeblood of Flagstaff.

The upper right corner is the Navajo/Hopi reservations, which may account for them being blue.

>> It appears the coast is the issue <<

Yep.

Consider the seven states where Dhims control both houses of the legislature:

CA, OR and HI have Pacific coastlines, whereas CT, RI and DE are on the Atlantic.

The seventh state, VT, has a border with Quebec. Maybe the unifying factor is that many leftwingers truly dislike the USA and therefore want to get as far away from the “heartland” as possible.

Thanks for the info. I saw a video clip of all the returns in a processing center and people milling about. I also noted it would be so easy to slip in another row of returned ballots here and there.

Is there any movement to reverse mail-in ballots and same day voting? Or at least cull the rolls of duplicate votes or in the case of same day voting a way to verify the ID is valid?

At least you get a return swiftly. Here in Pima county, AZ, we have over 300,000 votes yet to be counted for the national races. We all know what is happening during this delay. Fortunately, for us, government workers and their cohorts in this town are not very efficient but they seem to know if a number is lesser than or greater than.

Enjoy your winter, Mom MD, it must be lovely in CO this time of year.

NJ is brought to you by the same level-headed patriots that publish The Atlantic.

I supposed the Marxists have so completely discredited their own brand (as in "progressive" replacing "liberal") that they have to purposely create confusion with the National Review to take them seriously.

What! MN is not pure blue through and through. that’s great news. And to your newsflash here is a list for others to see the houses that are divided.

In the first column, I will put if they were dem before Tuesday, middle column if they are mixed and the third column if they were formerly repub controlled. (Forgive me if any are incorrect; I am just eyeballing this.)

For instance, MT would be /MT/MT, meaning formerly they were republican controlled and now they are divided.

And MD/MD would be they changed from dem controlled to now divided. ( I couldn’t think of an easier way for me to tally.)

Here are the sources, I compared.

http://www.statescape.com/resources/partysplits/partysplits.aspx

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2014/11/05/republican-sweep-extends-to-state-level/

Dem Then/ Divided Now / Previous Repub

WA/WA
/MT/MT
CO/CO
NM/NM
AK/AK
MN/MN (Solson mentioned already, but good to note it again)
IA (still divided)
MO/MO
IL/IL
KY (still divided)
WV/WV
/VA/VA
/PA/PA
MD/MD
/NJ/NJ (Sorry about that Christie)
MA/MA
NY (still divided)
ME/ME

So here is my tally. It looks like that we went from republican controlled to mixed in four states out of 18 that are now divided. And there was a change of divided states to red state legislatures to nine, and they were ME,MA,MD, WV,IL, MO, Mn,NM,CO and WA.

This is very heartening.

If anyone has a link with all these changes verified, please post it for us.

Lol. It’s been very mild. My roses are still blooming. I do t kniw of any movements to reverse. We now have the legislature us could try but our wonderful gov would just veto.
