Navy SEAL Who killed Bin Laden Revealed:Has Hollywood Calling
Daily Mail ^ | November 5, 2014 | Martin Gould

Full, Nothing Held Back, Almost Entire Story in The Title, Title: EXCLUSIVE - Navy SEAL who killed bin Laden revealed: Rob O'Neill named as SEAL Team Six hero who shot 9/11 mastermind three times in head - and has already inspired series of Hollywood films

The Navy SEAL who shot Osama bin Laden dead in the special force's most famous operation can be named today.

The Navy hero is set to give a full interview to Fox News later this month and waive his anonymity but MailOnline has established that he is Rob O'Neill, a highly-decorated veteran who quit after 16 years service.

In an exclusive interview Rob's father, Tom O'Neill, tells MailOnline, 'People are asking if we are worried that ISIS will come and get us because Rob is going public. I say I'll paint a big target on my front door and say come and get us.' Rob O'Neill, 38, is a former member of SEAL Team Six who has been portrayed on screen in Zero Dark Thirty, Captain Phillips and Lone Survivor. He is one of the most distinguished members ever of the elite force - but now faces being frozen out of its circles for revealing its most closely-held secrets. O'Neill was personally congratulated for killing bin Laden - in his account at close range with three shots to his forehead - during the SEAL raid on Abbottobad, in Pakistan, on 2 May 2011.

Questions have previously been raised over the exact narrative of how bin laden came to die, although the dispute centers on an alternative account which claims O'Neill shot him once, leaving him mortally-wounded and the terrorist was killed by two other SEALs with further shots to the chest rather than forehead.

Awww. She was a ‘strawberry blonde’, then. What a cutie!

Mine was copper red. Now it’s ‘chemically red’. ;)

Personally, I’d have kept my mouth shut, but...

Oh, well - at least they shot him in the head, so he won’t be coming back to walk among us.

It isn’t just him that becomes at risk as you know. Silence is for everyone’s sake.

She is approaching 40 now and it is auburn. Her kids are all blonds just like their daddy. He is on the rolls as a Cherokee but has blond hair and blue eyes.

I have no idea which American troops are the best but am sure I have read that the Air Force Para-rescue are the most highly trained of them all.

O'Neill's decision to speak out was prompted by losing some of his military benefits by quitting the SEALs after 16 years rather than staying for a full 20 years of service.

Any GI with 6 months of service knows how military retirement works.

This situation reminds me of college football scholarship players who are expected to live like a mouse for 4-5 years while bringing in tens of millions of dollars in revenue for their school.

Oneil is now in the private sector, threatened and abandoned by the Navy. The private sector is offering him and his family financial security. The Navy offered him a job driving a truck and cancelled his health benefits.

If he says anything that causes harm to fellow Seals, he can then find out what it is like to pay criminal attorneys.

I don’t think the Navy is going to prevail in an all out legal battle over the issue of “we get to approve anything that comes out of his mouth forever”. Never mind that the CIC and Biden have revealed all sorts of things and Hollywood has displayed every secret the Seals ever had worldwide.

The age old legal cliché “it’s a MOOT point” can be applied to most “Secrets” that the Navy thinks they have. I’m sure too that O’Neilll is getting some high priced legal advice from the Hollywood lawyers.

Happy in Colorado, actually. My entire ballot went as planned! Even Chickenpooper won, which was a far better vote than for the eGOP retread Bob Beauprez. Hick is very business oriented and removes regulations.

I was a classics major in college and loved to study ancient battles and armies.

The elite Persian 10,000 Immortals would go into battle totally silent. To me that would be intimidating, maybe even spooky.

At Thermopylae it is said the Persians were puzzled by the Spartans constant yelling. I don’t know if either way was better tho the Spartans were clearly the better soldiers.

I’m still waiting to find out who the guy was who stuck military artillery in the face of little Elian Gonzales. I hope he has debilitating nightmares every night of his life.

Knowing the long memories muzzies have and their deep desire for revenge, many of his family members will have to continuously look over their shoulders.
