Smug GOP Establishment Not Quite the Grown Ups They Claim to Be (good article!)

And here we go, more nonsensical rhetoric from the alleged smart guys in the GOP.

While the Tea Party has displayed willingness to work with the GOP Establishment to unseat Harry Reid from the Senate’s leadership, some GOPe anonymous sources (and some not-so-anonymous) have provided a lot of "insight" in this new article by Politico. They apparently are less interested in taking out Democrats than they are in marginalizing the Tea Party.

Of course their conclusion is that the Tea Party puts forth losing candidates and hopefully the GOP has learned its lesson before our next election in 2016

I guess they were all absent for the 2012 election, where their golden boy rejected the Tea Party and, oh yeah, lost to the worst president ever.

The story begins with a photo of Pat Roberts, Mitch McConnell, and Thad Cochran stating that all three had won their primaries against Tea Party challengers.

However, none of them can explain why Roberts had to call Governor Palin, Ted Cruz, and others out to Kansas to help give him a fighting chance against an "independent" newbie who began to surge after the Democrat backed out.

They also cannot explain why the Barbours in Mississippi had to use some pretty gross race-baiting tactics to get Democrats out to vote in a Republican primary against Chris McDaniel, the Tea Party’s candidate.

Lastly, they also cannot explain just how much money the establishment wound up spending in saving these establishment candidates.

Sitting establishment Republican, John Cornyn said:

The Establishment candidates won as follows: McConnell and Cornyn with 60%, Graham with 56%, Cochran with 50%, Alexander with 48% and Roberts with 47%.

Let's see how many incumbents up for reelection in 2016 want to go through what incumbents went through this year! And there won't be as much money to save them either, because donations have dried up and many "warchests" have been drained!

I am so disgusted with the party, and really the democratic process in general, that I now state firmly that unless there is a CONSERVATIVE at the TOP of the ticket in 2016, I’m not voting for it.

Now, I’m sure many will say the same thing, right up until the end of the primaries, then the usual trolls will pop up and demand everyone vote for Jeb or Krispy otherwise they are ‘Dem plants!’ or they ‘want Hillary!’

Couldn’t care less. Cornyn is a despicable amnesty pimp and a blot on the state of Texas of almost Wendy Davis proportions.

If the GOPe does what I think it is going to do should they win, castrate the conservative voices on the Hill and make deals to enrich themselves and Obola, then I will be doing NOTHING in 2016 for them in the senate and house races. Let them get massacred and crow about how great their crummy chamber candidates are.

I think it was Corneliu Codreanu who said “If I had a choice to shoot an enemy or a traitor, I would shoot the traitor.”

“GOP freaking loathes us.”

Yes they do! We weren’t able to take out any of their precious senators but while they weren’t looking, we took out the MAJORITY LEADER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

We thought they wouldn’t forgive us for taking out Arlen Specter, Mike Castle, Bob Bennett and Richard Lugar, and almost taking out Lisa Murkowski, but they will NEVER forgive us for Cantor!

If they fail to take the senate on Tuesday, then the party will be absolutely finished, nobody will donate to it, it will disintegrate like the whigs.

I am all for forming a new Conservative or even Reactionary Party because we are going to need radicalism to pull this country out of the crapper its going to be in when Hilderbeast takes the throne in 2016. Bill will turn the White Hut into the Slick Brothel. I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes an Orwellian one-party state, but then at least you’ll know that the ‘democratic’ system has to be overthrown. All bets will be off.

And we discover millions of illegal voters came across the border last Thursday, wereregistered to vote, put up in motels, fed and given cases of beer, then given their cheat cards and told to show up to vote on election day...

I want Reid fired. On the other hand, two years of RINO gloating is more than I can stomach. I hope the R's take the senate, but that cochran loses.

Reid couldn't do anything without the cloture votes that the Republican leadership provide. McConnell and Cornyn enabled Reid's liberal agenda with their critical cloture votes.

Reid had help from liberal Republicans.

Barring a cataclysmic SHTF event, meaningful, permanent political change in today’s environment takes time.

Democrats persevered from the 1930’s, but more strongly since the 1960’s, on their long term goal of changing the nation from a representative republic with a free market economy to a “Peoples Republic” with a tyrannical big government and a socialist economy.

Conservatives need to have the patience and strength to persevere in the same way.

STEP 1

Get leftists (democrats) out of power in any legal way possible.
If you can’t get a conservative in office settle for a republican or even a RINO.

STEP 2

Replace RINOs and weak kneed, spinless republicans with conservatives.

STEP 3

Use the political power gained to restore American institutions, culture and traditions especially the education stystem.

Our schools and colleges should be dedicated to educate patriotic Americans, not US hating One World socialists.

That's why I don't get the you have to vote GOP! argument; it would only encourage this behavior because they know they can count on your support because the other guy's worse.

Nope — I'm done holding my nose.

Been discussing the cited Politico story here:

Mainstream GOP sees tipping point vs. insurgent candidates (Tea Party Are Losers)

The usual "Vote-GOP-Establishment-or-get-blamed-for-everything-bad-that happens-crowd has descended like locusts upon it.

This is my kind of thread. There are too many “bend over and let the GOP stick it in your pipe AGAIN” threads these days. I’m doing something tomorrow I’ve never done: I’m leaving my writing in for US Rep and voting for a Libertarian for US Senate. We need a new Republican Party or a third party, neither will happen if Old Republicans keep winning.

Your plan is fundamentally flawed. We can’t win while the GOP is actively sabotaging us. The game is fixed to make sure we lose. As long as the GOPe is in charge of the party, we will never win.

They get things wrong. You'll get things wrong. That's life in politics.

Soon it'll be time to get past all the recriminations and start planning what to do -- if it's not already too late.

One has to make the case for what should be priorities based on something more than just attacking the other half of the party.
