This is the perfect example of separation of church and state. I agree with some of the posters here that Christians could not/can not do something similar. They would be accused of forcing Christianity down everybody’s throats.
There have been many teachers who have been threatened for speaking out about their objections to common core.
Some teachers have quit.
Some charter schools have hired teachers on H1B Visas from Middle Eastern countries.

Complete separation of **SCHOOL** and state!
It is impossible to have a religiously, politically, and culturally neutral school. Secularism is NOT ( and never has been) religiously neutral. Why? Because such a state of philosophic neutrality is impossible in the mind of any sentient human. Once the government sponsors and runs schools it will favor the religious, political, and cultural worldview of the most politically powerful and crush that of the less powerful.
The solution: Begin the process of privatizing **all** schooling, on every level.
We may as well teach them lessons out of the Satanic Bible and indoctrinate them into the Church of Satan. Same difference. Same result.
There needs to be a large movement - a lot of people who object to this.
First thing is people need to be made aware of it - so tell everyone you know.
It might be good to start thinking of people to contact.
Remember how Huckabee made a statement about the pastors in Houston and the result?
Think of other groups that can help spread the word.
