For the past three years NO kids have come by our home on Halloween Trick or Treating so this year I bought no candy. With my luck, this will be the year they come by.

Oh my. I quit counting last year at 68 and those were just the ones that live on my street and the two adjoining ones!

Wow. We typically get between 70 and 130 kids each year (last year was 91). Part of it might be word of mouth that we’re generous with the candy, but I suspect we would get a decent wave regardless.

Texas Tribune is like some tiny circulation weekly that nobody actually reads.

We normally have 60 plus, have had 90. We do have some from other neighborhoods.

We had about a dozen little kids last year, and a few greedy teenagers who didn't even bother to dress up.

We have two new families with small children on the block, so we may have an uptick this year.

It’s going to rain - possibly very heavily - in TX on election day.
