Less than half of Americans, 47%, say they favor stricter laws covering the sale of firearms, similar to views found last year. But this percentage is significantly below the 58% recorded in 2012 after the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, spurred a nationwide debate about the possibility of more stringent gun control laws. This is one of the rare issues where, despite overwhelming support among the liberal elites and MSM for gun control, they are getting routed. Even in bastions of liberalism like Chicago, New York and Washington.

I don’t care if it reaches 99.9999% in favor of new gun laws.

The Constitution protects our right to defend ourselves.

That is a God given right. No man or group of men should be able to take that away.

If 99.9999% percent of non-Black people thought we should treat Blacks as inferiors, would it be okay? No.

Some things are immutable facts.

The graph lies. Support for stricter gun laws never went to 58%.
