Democrats are telling voters that they had better head to the polls or else.
The New York State Democratic Committee is bullying people into voting next week with intimidating letters warning that it can easily find out which slackers fail to cast a ballot next Tuesday.
Who you vote for is your secret. But whether or not you vote is public record, the letter says.

Supposedly the poll books are public record and can be examined after the election to determine who did or did not vote.
I'm not sure if that is true or not.
Can someone in the know confirm or deny this?
New York went to scan voting a few years ago. The way the process works is the voter signs his/her name in the voting roll book which contains a facsimile of voter’s signature. Poll worker is supposed to check that signature matches. They never do. Then a scannable ballot is given to voter to mark up with a black magic marker. The poll worker records the ballot number in the voter roll book. The ballot also has a bar code. The completed ballot then gets scanned in a machine. It is very easy to match the ballot number with the vote cast on the ballot. See? Votes are no longer confidential.
Voter lists showing that kind of information would be public record, available to anyone on request.
Cuomo has so alienated the unions in NY that they have been told at the state level to not vote for him. This includes the biggest unions such as CSEA, SEIU and BJ32B. Cuomo knows this and is now getting the union thugs to intimidate those voters. This has been going on for decades. Cuomo’s opponent in the democrat primary won half of the counties in NY. Think that he’s scared?
See my Post 22.
Democrats are aiming this message at their most loyal supporters... black Americans. Black Americans kicked around again by white liberal elites and their paid overseers in the black community. It's ugly. Guess the thugs know blacks have 'no place else to go...'
Well, Republicans might just take on the liberal elites... and leave them with no one to kick around...
Yes, the poll books are public record. There is a sign in sheet that the voter has to sign before signing the poll book. Poll watchers (volunteers from both parties) visit target polling places to and get copies of those sheets (this is legal) and report back to campaign HQ on which voters have come out to vote. Those that have not showed up get phone calls. Sometimes those calls are harassing.
The president has put in place an organization that contains a kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life. Thats going to be very, very powerful.
And that database will have information about everything on every individual in ways that its never been done before.
Maxine Waters
It’s true.
They will buy the list of who voted in the party primary and target them with mailings and calls before the election.
In New York, dead voters’ names remain on the voting polls until the family requests that name be removed or the Board of Elections verifies that the voter is dead. An operative who knows this information can easily send someone to cast a vote on that dead voter’s behalf.
Polling places also allow provisional votes to be cast if a voter’s name is not in the polling book. Unless the vote is very close, those provisional votes are usually not counted. In close races, those votes often become disputed and get litigated. Since so many judges in New York are liberal, guess how those votes are treated?
That’s the way its done in the Marxist world. You will vote and you will vote as directed.....or else. Stalin used this ploy well. Obama is trying it too.
Threatening the dead!
That’s a new low, even for democrats.
Hey - this is almost as good as when the GOP sent me a donation request that looked EXACTLY LIKE a past due bill, even with the words “Past Due” emblazoned on the envelope so the mail carrier would think I was a deadbeat.
I was done giving the GOP money after that. Now I donate to specific candidates, and hopefully Tea Party types.
Just sayin'...
The Bush Analogy.
Pissing off your Base is never a good idea.
Cuomo is like his father without the charm or skill. LOL
If Bob Grant were alive today, he would probably have the same message for Andy as he did for his daddy. “...azienda me...tu se profiono sfacim.”
But how many times you vote isn’t public record.
We are currently working on our ‘get out the vote’ effort as we vote by mail in OR. We get daily lists of those who have not turned in a ballot. It is public record.
