Mausers from the same time period are also nice. Even after the war, the Yugo M48 and M48A were very nice in 8mm mauser.

They are nice indeed. But quality examples now run nearly 3 times the cost of one Mosin. And 8mm ammo is scarcer than hens teeth. Grab a Mosin or two and a few tins of ammo while you can.
