A great many Republican House and Senate candidates may be staying away from talking immigration, or immigration reform this cycle, but not Jeb Bush. A funny thing happened on Jeb's recent visit to Colorado to stump for Republican Cory Gardner in his race against Democrat Mark Udall.

(Heck, now I wouldn’t even vote for “W” for City Council, after what he did in his 2nd term.)

Remember that the Dems took control of the House and Senate in 2006, so W was pretty well hog-tied his last two years.

That’s what we’re hoping will happen this year for the Pubs, so that Obama can’t continue his acts of destroying the US.

I support immigration reform:

1. Cancel all visas for West Africa and issue no more visas in countries with widespread Ebola.

2. Seal the border. It won’t be 100%, but 98% is a whole lot better than 20% sealed. We should have such good border security that illegals expect to fail when crossing and are surprised on the rare occasions when they don’t fail.

3. DNA swab and fingerprint all illegals caught inside our country, even if they are captured at the border. Give illegals a lifelong ban from all paths to citizenship and all paths to legal entry.

4. Prosecute employers who know or should know that their employees are illegal - fine them many times what they save through underpayment and monitor them closely thereafter.

5. Once the illegal problem is solved, then fix the legal immigration system.

Immigration reform would be wonderful. Let’s pass it one point at a time.
