It shoots good too. 1 1/2” groups at 100 yds with 240 gr semi-jacketed soft points.
Packs quite a punch too, the 18 1/2” barrel boosts the muzzle velocity to around 1,875 fps.
All stainless steel with synthetic stock weighs in at just under 6 lbs!

You know that 24 years ago RUGER had a limited run of small bolt action rifles in .30 Russian Short.
I had the oportunity to hold one back in 1990 just after I had open heart surgery. The dealer offered me a great deal on it but I turned it down as I figured I didn’t have more than a few months left.
Silly me. Now I wish I had it.
