Bill Cosby threw me down on his bed and pinned me by my neck....
UK Daily Mail ^ | 10/27/2014 | Lycia Naff

When comedian Hannibal Buress delivered his recent merciless tongue-lashing at Bill Cosby, calling him a serial 'rapist', there was one woman who was paying particularly close attention.

When Barbara Bowman was a teenager she was emotionally and sexually abused by the TV star and in an exclusive interview with MailOnline she describes in chilling detail how Cosby manipulated her into believing he was a father figure and took advantage of her youth, vulnerability and yes, even ambition, to have his way with her over and over again.

'I was drugged and raped by that man,' she tells MailOnline. 'He is a monster. He came at me like a monster. My hope is that others who have experienced sexual abuse will not be intimidated into silence by the famous, rich and powerful. If I can help one victim, then I've done my job.'

Cosby has a wholesome image and has made comments most conservatives share as opinions about race and politics. Therefore, I suppose it is natural that some of the folks here would do to this woman exactly what James Carville and Hillary Clinton did to Jennifer Flowers and Juanita Broaddrick.

Some freepers are such hypocrites, just like Dems. If it happens to someone on the right, they overlook even vicious drugging rapes. Cosby is worse than Polanski but they just don’t care.

How did she get to the bedroom if the episode wasn’t consensual?

That’s simple and common enough. The difficult part to explain is the ‘again and again for years and years’ part.

There are a disappointing number of posts in response to this article that demonstrate a complete misunderstanding of sexual and mental/emotional abuse. Many victims do remain silent for years and years, particularly when the offender is a person who the victim knew, loved, respected, looked up to, and trusted, such as a parent or other relative, member of the clergy, teacher, counselor, boss, celebrity, or politician. Victims remain silent out shame, embarrassment, denial, fear, self-blame, etc.

I know someone very well who was a victim of extreme physical (non-sexual), verbal, and emotional abuse from his earliest memories. The abuser was his mother. Thirty years later he still suffered in silence through broken relationships and substance abuse until he finally met a mental health counselor who specialized in abuse. The poor guy was in severe pain all those years, but never connected the dots because he thought that every child went through same abuse that he went through, and that it was normal.

I believe this woman, just like I believe Bill Clinton's victims, many of whom remained silent for years before coming forward to the same incredulous ridicule that I am seeing on this threat.

This article from 1999 goes into some depth about Ms. Bowman's allegations.

Interesting.

I find it difficult to respect anyone who makes a bunch of money from books with his name (and only his name) on them (e.g. “Fatherhood” by Ralph “Bill Cosby” Schoenstein, “Dreams From My Father” by Bill “Barack Obama” Ayers), but that he didn’t actually write.

I choose to believe Bill Cosby is a wholesome and patriotic American that is trying to lead the black community out of a culture of self pity, white hatred and government dependence.”

I direct you to England in the ongoing saga and investigation of Jimmy Savile and few others that worked for the BBC. Savile in particular was a monster of the first degree abusing and molesting kids in hospitals and orphanages. His abuse went back over 50 years and untold number of people have come forward on this sometimes 30 and 40 years after the abuse. So her story is not unheard of.

As the article says, she did not wait. She was denied, laughed, and threatened out of the offices of every attorney an other figure she approached. She found it necessary to wait to make further efforts exposing the truth until there was some hope of them being taken seriously for a change. Her story is entirely credible given the decades long litany of sexual abuse of women and children by Hollywood and political elites. It is an age old problem and should not be the least bit surprising.
