My father died of precisely what is killing her when he was only 64
And like you I was there...in fact I’ve cared for many dying kinfolk in one way or another...my mom...my wife’s people
Its what’s right
There is a mean streak here ...always has been.
Lack of empathy...sarcastic stern callous ladled with copious self righteousness
And the cliques....the harpies are mostly gone....it used to be awful
This forum is a mirror of human nature
Communal like mindedness and serious affection for one another
And some real pricks who seem to know each other but never disclose anything
WE all gravitate to kindred spirits and those we trust here
So tks....very windy and cold in rural TN tonight...measured snow over 2000 foot elevation....mighty early
You stated it well. It truly is what’s right. In all of its pain and suffering, I do find beauty in the sacrificial love for those who are dying. I also see the courage and beauty in our loved ones who face their death with more dignity and resolve than those who wish to sell the alternative.
Winter storm’s heading our way as well. It’s been windy throughout the day/evening. Snowfall above 7000 ft. We’re hoping the weatherman’s wrong on that count. Stay warm, and wishing you and yours a good weekend.
