* Nurse Kaci Hickox left the home of her boyfriend in Fort Kent, Maine, on Wednesday night to speak with the press
* Residents of the small town are unimpressed that Hickox is trying to fight a 21-day quarantine imposed by the state
* State's health chief and governor vowed to enforce Maine state guidelines which ask for a voluntary three week quarantine
* Governor sent state police to her home but did not say whether she would be arrested if she tried to leave
* State may go to court to get an order to make it mandatory tomorrow
* Hickox told Today: 'I don't plan on sticking to the guidelines. I am not going to sit around and be bullied by politicians and forced to stay in my home when I am not a risk to the American public'
* Residents set up Facebook pages to attack her for being selfish, 'un-American' and unprofessional
* Obama shook hands with returning healthcare workers today at the White House and hit out at critics who were 'hiding under the covers'
Already pushing the boundaries of her state-imposed quarantine, Ebola nurse Kaci Hickox defiantly left the Maine home she was ordered to stay inside for three weeks on Wednesday night in order to speak with the press about her 'frustrating' situation.
Standing out front of her boyfriends house in Fort Kent about 7pm, as the police tasked with watching her looked on from across the street, Hickox told the waiting media contingent that she will continue to fight her quarantine orders, even if she is charged for breaking them.
'We have been in negotiations all day with the state of Maine and tried to resolve this amicably, but they are not allowing me to leave my house and interact with the public....

The arrogance of this woman is astounding. What’s more, by being a spoiled brat, she’s actually making it harder to address any over-reach or mistakes in the way Ebola is being handled by the local authorities.

I think part of what is going on is Obama is using her and opposition to quarantines of healthcare workers (HCW) as a way to show support for unionized HCW, who might not be happy with open borders to Ebola now.

She may be part of the propaganda effort, but I think pretty soon, her boyfriend will want his privacy back. I would be funny if she got kicked out, then had to go back to the hospital. What about his needs? I suspect he is going to start spending more and more time ‘out of the neighborhood, ‘seeing other people’ because his home has been turned into a circus/ reality show, ala Big Brother.

I’m sitting here *trying* to be a nice person, and *trying* real hard not to hope she comes down with Ebola. Kinda hard.
I’m sure her neighbors feel the same. To the the community she’ll be a pariah and to the nation, ostracized one way or another and frankly put, her career in medicine will be over.
So she may as well get Ebola since much of her life is finished either way.
This is where a mighty dose of Karma is needed to gobsmack some sense into these self-centered libs.
That's the message I'm sure the CDC and the health care profession wants to send out to the average American, I'm sure. As unlikely as what she says about quarantines may be, if true, then why is the CDC bothering with it? Why even take temperatures, ask about a person's recent whereabouts and contacts. Just ask the person how they feel. They won't lie to you .......will they?
As far as I'm concerned, she is a disgusting human being with no regard for anyone but herself. Besides being just plain nasty and combative, her personal predicament should not be a role model for future dealings with potential infectees.
I’ll bet USAMRIID in Ft. Detrick is now feeling silly buying and building that level 4 biosafety containment facility for their Ebola research. They should have simply consulted with Kaci.
