Why stop there?
Lawsuits and filings of disciplinary actions against the politicians and lawyers involved
This mindset must be defeated at all costs. No more delays.

You gotta give some credit to Huckabee who came up with the idea of sending Bibles to her. Over a thousand, from what I’ve read...

She should be in handcuffs. That would be considered a win.

A very temporary “victory”.
The left never gives up, only “our side” ever gives up.
These people will be back. They will find another way to do this.

Just because she has backed off doesn’t mean a thing - these Pastors need to go after her - take her to court so that it can be relied upon later that she overstepped her position and violated whatever laws that can be found etc. This is what the Libs do - they take it all the way so they can get a decision which can be relied upon later.

The mayor should be literally crucified, by muzzies, if possible.

But, alas, this is a loss for Joel 0steen. He supports 0bama and delivered the convocation for the Houston mayor. Joel was one of the only Houston pastors that didn’t stick up for the real Christian pastors fighting for their faith.
I wonder if Joel is an NSA operative? A member of the clergy response team?
Why do we have a Joel 0steen thread on FR anyways?

There won’t be a “Big Win For Religious Liberty,” or any kind of liberty, until these idiot officials stop even thinking about pulling this kind of BS.

She probably didn’t like all the Bibles being sent to her. We should all bombard her with copies of the first amendment.

This was nothing but an attempt at intimidation. She knows this ordinance of hers will lose at the polls so she doesn’t want people to get to vote on it. She also doesn’t want preachers convincing their flock to vote against it.

A win would be the removal of the mayor for violating the oath of office and refusal to uphold the Constitution.

Following a barrage of Bibles being sent to the office of Houston Mayor Annise Parker in response to her controversial subpoenas of five pastors to turn over their sermons, the city of Houston has withdrawn those subpoenas. She needs to be sent copies of The Constitution too. With the 1st Amendment highlighted.

"I didn't do this to satisfy them. I did it because it was not serving Houston." Translation: The city's lawyers told her that she was going to lose badly in both the courts of justice and public opinion.

Not sure it is a big win...that should be a no-brainier. I would rather think of this as a BIG FAIL on the part of the Houston Mayor.
