There won’t be a “Big Win For Religious Liberty,” or any kind of liberty, until these idiot officials stop even thinking about pulling this kind of BS.

And they won’t stop. They’ll try again when they see an in or when people are preoccupied with something else.

“...given up....” is a poor description of what’s happening. The Black Robes are setting precedence.

Furthermore, accusing Republicans of giving up is akin to accusing lazy people of being unmotivated. Most Republican are RINO’s, so you can’t include them in this discussion. I am referring specifically to TRUE conservatives.

That’s BS, JennysCool. We win incrementally. The Houston mayor began this criminal attack publicly. Boldly. She was making a proclamation. And now what? After Christians stood up to Annise Parker and her administration, she first backpedaled. Now Parker’s withdrawing her subpoena. That’s a win. I doubt the legal team will stop there.

I understand peoples desire to take a cautionary stand, but the naysayers and doubters should either step out of the way or step into the ring rather than play armchair quarterback.

I’ve often wondered why the thread is permitted. Jim wouldn’t allow any Romney praise and I wholeheartedly support Jim’s decision. But why is a thread praising the despicable crook Osteen allowed?

The part I really can’t stand is not being able to make critical comments about the snake.

Mine are always removed by the moderator.

Why do we have a Joel 0steen thread on FR anyways?”

Something that I, too, have wondered about.

Mine are always removed by the moderator.

Because they are posted on Devotional threads, which are not open to debate. I, too, would like to see an end to the "Liberal Poseur Osteen Devotional" threads.

“How can getting back to the starting point be considered “A Great Win?”

Yeah, that’s my comment.

IMHO, we should be able to debate ANYTHING.

No argument from me, but we don’t make the rules. We just live on FR Street.

"Why stop there?

Lawsuits and filings of disciplinary actions against the politicians and lawyers involved

This mindset must be defeated at all costs. No more delays."

Yes, Conservatives should be very aggressive toward these roaches; including the school districts and teachers, too.

She probably didn’t like all the Bibles being sent to her. We should all bombard her with copies of the first amendment.

I think maybe the 1st Amendment would be a good place to start.

This was nothing but an attempt at intimidation. She knows this ordinance of hers will lose at the polls so she doesn’t want people to get to vote on it. She also doesn’t want preachers convincing their flock to vote against it.

No, I wasn’t saying there was - moreso saying the need is to establish, as principle in a court, that what she did was illegal and that there will be punishment for doing so!
