The left-wing National Journal ran a piece on Sunday making the argument that the Evangelical choice for 2016 has already been narrowed down to a choice between Sen. Ted Cruz and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
The National Journal is right.
Evangelical and pro-family leaders realize that if America is to be reclaimed, conservatives cannot wait to let the filed sort itself out as we did in 2008 and 2012. It is close to midnight in America, and we simply do not have time to think about waiting until 2020. there may be little left of our country to save by then.
It may be imperative that social conservatives rally soon around one candidate and throw their energy and resources into his campaign. Given the timeline of modern presidential campaigns, this must happen early in 2015. ...
If the GOP runs another McCain or another Romney, the Democrats will win...
A host of GOP candidates who flunk this test including Scott walker (who surrendered on marriage in Wisconsin) and rand Paul (who has suggested that government get out of marriage altogether). Marco Rubio has kneecapped himself by his support for amnesty.
Christie is out for a host of reasons , and Jeb Bush is out because of amnesty and Common Core.
That leaves, in addition to Cruz and Huckabee, Gov. Rick Perry, former Sen. Rick Santorum, Dr. Ben Carson and Gov. Bobby Jindal.

And we don't need certain talk radio hosts this election cycle once again using other diversions and telling us that (once again) that fiscal conservatism is more important that social conservatism...
...Social conservatism is just as important as fiscal conservatism. In fact, maybe more: "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world [financially] and lose his soul"? (Matthew 16:26; Mark 8:36; Luke 9:25)
What say you?
Ted Cruz.
Nobody that has run before, nobody named Bush or Romney, nobody that is for or passive about amnesty, gun control, or abortion.
Cruz or Huckabee? Cruz. Not even close.
I say anyone who ran previously and did NOT win even the GOP nomination needs to step aside and support someone who has a solid chance of winning - TED CRUZ!!!
Cruz for the true conservatives, Huckabee for the Christian Socialists.
Ted Cruz.
“Christian socialists”?
I am a Christian and I have never paid any attention to Huckabee because I don’t see his politics being Christian anything
Hucklebee has blood on his hands. He has granted parole to criminals that have gone on to murder and rape.
Cruz. Huck hates the term “RINO” because he IS one.
Ted Cruz, Trey Gowdy, Allen West ... sounds like a good start to me.
Cruz will satisfy the needs of Christian voters and non Christian voters alike...
YOU MEAN the baby killing, sodomy tolerating, socialist, even Marxist Christians?.....
How you can be a christian,Jew,black person or person that WORKs and still be a democrat is beyond me..
Must be a form AUTISM!...
” That leaves, in addition to Cruz and Huckabee, Gov. Rick Perry, former Sen. Rick Santorum, Dr. Ben Carson and Gov. Bobby Jindal. “
It leaves Cruz.
or stupidity
Cruz can win, Huckabee and Santorum can’t. Governor Perry has hired Mississippian henry barbour, what’s wrong with Rick, I thought he was ethical, does he want someone to kneecap Senator Cruz?
I personally like Santorum, Cruz and Jindal.
in politics, you hire certain consultants to keep them off the playing field. That is just reality.
