Remember? Lewinskies have never been exclusive to porn or prostitutes. They’ve been around since way before there even was porn, and lots of people enjoy oral sex without prostitutes.
I believe that movie was from the early ‘70s. The only controversy was that porn was starting to go more main stream then, not the act itself.

I don’t claim to understand the mentality that these sorts of people have, but my inner psychologist is thinking about two things:
1) Youth has been elevated to a very high social standing: everyone wants to be young or look young. Maybe having sex with someone underage satisfies this desire.
2) Kids these days aren’t really given an opportunity to grow up. The other day, while at a technology convention, I noticed that we were sharing the meeting facility with some sort of cheerleading competition. There were little girls wandering around dressed like prostitutes.
That’s hardly the only example, of course, but it goes to show that children are exposed to adult topics and pressured to behave as adults from a very young age. Maybe to a warped way of thinking, this qualifies them as adults.
To answer your questions, just imagine that it had been a 17-year-old girl and a 21-year-old male teacher, but that the other particulars of the case had been exactly the same. Now: Do you think that a judge would cut the male teacher any slack because the girl was "willing," or had "previous experience," or had "bragged about it" to her other girlfriends? Can you imagine the statutes in a lawbook prohibiting sex with minors, but granting exemptions because the minor "had already been around the block a few times?"

1st day? Weird. Agreed. Also its a WDC charter school just re-opening in “Fall 2014” started in 1996. I thought they’d closed all the charter schools in WDC.
