Kaci Hickox, the nurse who was quarantined at a New Jersey hospital despite exhibiting no Ebola symptoms after arriving from West Africa, won't follow the quarantine imposed by Maine officials, her attorney said tonight.

"Going forward she does not intend to abide by the quarantine imposed by Maine officials because she is not a risk to others," her attorney Steven Hyman said. "She is asymptomatic and under all the protocols cannot be deemed a medical risk of being contagious to anyone."

Maine requires that health care workers such as Hickox who return to the state from West Africa will remain under a 21-day home quarantine, with their condition actively monitored, Gov. Paul R. LePage said in a statement.

"We will help make sure the health care worker has everything to make this time as comfortable as possible," he said.

Hickox left University Hospital in Newark Monday afternoon and was taken to Maine,

Per Mark Levin’s show, she’s been outed as a Leftist with connections to the CDC.

Obviously Kaci doesn’t prescribe to the notion of “the common good”.

Her undated photos are credited to the University of Texas at Arlington. Since she’s being described as a nurse, I think we can reasonably assume that she didn’t go to medical school.

She went to nursing school at the University of Texas (Arlington), then earned a graduate degree at Johns Hopkins.

Her clear tie to Maine is that her boyfriend is a nursing student at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Hickox was born in New York (I don't know when she moved to Maine, but the media calls Fort Kent her 'hometown').

The boyfriend left nursing school to be with Hickox during her quarantine period. Will he quarantine himself before going back to nursing school? At least one UMFK student, Kayla Michaud, has told the press the UMFK students are concerned about the boyfriend's possible return to the school community without his own quarantine. Will the school or the State of Maine quarantine him?

Ebola Docs and Nurses Care About Africans, Don’t Care About Americans
FrontPage Mag ^ | 10/29/2014 | Daniel Greenfield
Posted on 10/29/2014, 8:58:29 AM by SeekAndFind

We’re told ad nauseam that the medical personnel who go to Africa are heroes. And that’s fine. I have no objection to them doing their humanitarian thing and then writing a bestselling book about it.

But now that Madam Ebola is in town, it’s hard to miss the fact that these people might care about Africans, but they certainly don’t care about Americans.

The city’s first Ebola patient initially lied to authorities about his travels around the city following his return from treating disease victims in Africa, law-enforcement sources said.

Dr. Craig Spencer at first told officials that he isolated himself in his Harlem apartment — and didn’t admit he rode the subways, dined out and went bowling until cops looked at his MetroCard the sources said.

“He told the authorities that he self-quarantined. Detectives then reviewed his credit-card statement and MetroCard and found that he went over here, over there, up and down and all around,” a source said.

Spencer finally ’fessed up when a cop “got on the phone and had to relay questions to him through the Health Department,” a source said.

So he lied. He couldn’t be trusted to self-quarantine which means none of them can be. Meanwhile Ebola nurse Kaci Hickox is continuing her public tantrum and extinguishing whatever media manufactured sympathy the public had for her.

Defiant nurse Kaci Hickox vowed to break a mandatory quarantine order that would keep her inside her Maine home for much of the next three weeks.

Hickox said more appropriate measures would include self-monitoring by taking her temperature twice a day and getting medical attention if she began to show symptoms of Ebola.

“I would go back,” said Hickox. “This has been a bit of a nightmare for me but my work in Sierra Leone for four weeks was amazing and I feel privileged to have been able to help fight this battle. I do plan on going back in fact, it’s not just ‘will I,’ it’s more of a when.”

There’s a stench of egomania to Hickox’s language. She’s willing to compromise the public safety of Americans so she can have her fun while she’s stateside and then go back to Africa to feel “privileged”. For her being told to stay at home is a nightmare, but not the risk of creating an epidemic in this country.

Spencer has already proven that these people cannot be trusted.

There’s no reason to trust Kaci Hickox after her obnoxious and thoughtless attitude.

she is supposed to be a mainer. Although the net has been scrubbed.

I'm sure if you call any random person out of the phone book in Fort Kent, they'll tell you all about her.

Jail the self important bitch.

On the local news today, they said a Maine State Trooper greeted her when she arrived at her house in Fort Kent.

Kaci Hickox vowed to break a mandatory quarantine order that would keep her inside her Maine home for much of the next three weeks.

Sounds like it's "voluntary"...unless she decides to leave.

I believe the CDC and the thugocracy have decided to make a couple of test cases so the feds can handle ALL cases. O wants to bring patients into the US who have NO RIGHT to be here. He wants to turn us into Venezuela so he can continue to be DiC (dictator in chief)

The IRS says that federal taxes are “voluntary,” also, until you don’t pay them.
