Department of Homeland Security is beefing up protection at federal buildings in Washington, D.C., and in other areas across the country, Secretary Jeh Johnson said Tuesday.
Although he did not cite any specific threats to individual government buildings, Johnson said, "the reasons for this action are self-evident: the continued public calls by terrorist organizations for attacks on the homeland and elsewhere, including against law enforcement and other government officials, and the acts of violence targeted at government personnel and installations in Canada and elsewhere recently."
Great post and the source of great frustration for me. Why are real Americans tolerating so much?
You may be close to right.
The administration may be close to doing something to push the Citizens over the edge. I know we are close to that edge and they keep pushing and pushing and pushing.
There is no nudging anymore...it is down right shoving..
Citizens are pissed. Polls show it.
Attitudes show it when you talk to people that formerly were not pissed and now are.
People that thought prepping was stupid now are prepping up (or think they are ready)
Give you and example. We sell laying hens and have greenhouse. We cannot raise laying hens fast enough to meet demand or grow enough in our greenhouse for people to can. We name our price and they buy it. I am raising meat quail now. People are buying them up as fast as I can raise them to 6 weeks and they are leaving them frozen or canning them. Next, free range domestic rabbits.
People around here fully expect Obama to collapse the system and know he is trying to and they are PISSED and tired of being shoved around.
and do not forget the Brown shirts...will need them in the LA, SA and S Texas area.
Probably just Demonrats trying to pretend they are taking national security seriously before the elections.
The whole Government, and all agencies of it, are big screw ups with bad intentions anymore. All talk and no competence.

I think the real reason is to fortify themselves from the peasants. Anything to distinguish themselves as the elites and more important than us, and to keep the riff-raff out.
Citizens are pissed. Polls show it.
And the “elites” are doing everything they can to keep elections from relieving the building pressure.
Comfort is the enemy of courage. People are satisfied with less and the less they are satisfied with depends a lot less on freedom than it once did. My son has become more acquainted with people from the coasts while in the military. He is shocked by the number of people he encounters from across the country that do not think it is right for people to own land just to have it or to own a bulldozer just because or to have a place for a 1000 yard range because they enjoy it. There are increasing numbers of people who are more metrosexual or something like that. We have become an urban society and that, by nature, entails fewer needs for freedom? I don’t know the explanation. Maybe it is that too many have never experienced being without or understand the value of having a right that you do not always need to use but you have it at hand anyway.
Could they just make it more cost effective and permanently close some of these offices???
