Is it time for Mississippi conservatives to teach the GOPe a lesson and vote for Travis Childers?

But, Matthew 7:2 is pretty plain.... the same judgment you deal out on others is the same judgment you’ll receive.

Correct. So it doesn’t say simply “don’t judge”. I’m willing to be judged according to the standard by which I judge others. Hopefully a Biblical standard, and I know I fall short of that sometimes. I don’t want to fall short, but I do sometimes, unfortunately.

Understood.

I wouldn’t vote at all before I ever voted for a Democrat.

NEVER vote for a Democrat. There are no Zell Miller’s.

Joe Manchin is below despicable. He is a Democrat ICEBERG. 10% of what you see is him publicly disagreeing with Obama because of the political reality of a changing WV. The 90% that is hidden supports Reid and Obama without fail. Because of that he is worse to me than Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer.

Hey, LFM! I know this thread is long quiet and I'm weeks out of it, but in the interest of amiable discussion, and reviewing past threads etc. I see,

Anything that would keep Harry Reid in power is WRONG. Better strategy: Vote REPUBLICAN and then proceed to torment THAD for 6 years. He will at least organize and vote with Republicans.

And also:

I wouldn’t vote at all before I ever voted for a Democrat. NEVER vote for a Democrat. There are no Zell Millers.

Except there are Zell Millers. More to the point, there are many of his corresponding leftist RINO opposites on the Republican side.

I agree with you a hundred percent that it's wrong to vote for a Democrat. We know exactly what we'd be voting for, and you rightly get that a vote is an action that endorses an entire candidate and balances of power. Even if that Democrat is by general accounts ethical and honorable, though on the left, we'd refuse to vote for him because we get the full spectrum of what we'd be voting for by voting Democrat. Exactly right.

When you vote for a leftist Republican you do it with the intent of voting for the Brand. You know you're voting for a guy who, in the case of Cochran, is the kind of "moderate" Republican so bankrupt of honor that he'd accept office having lied and defrauded his way there; being a traitor comes naturally -- what a guy to put in place where balance of power is crucial. That's not your intention -- but your vote, as with the Democrat, trumps intention, whether it's to "send a message" or to vote "against" the Democrat. The vote is an ENDORSEMENT just as voting for a Democrat is an endorsement. It's results are material. When that crap wins -- it's like trying to make orange juice with bad lemons. You get what you vote for.

As for getting what you vote against ... well, that's no-man's land.

To me, the very apparent predicament approaching America is that more and more are refusing to participate in the very real and material charade of voting for tyranny no matter which brand we choose. The Republican party is on eternal Wimpy mode ala Popeye: "They'll gladly pressure the RINOs on Tuesday if you vote for them today." But the reality is that folks who vote for, say, Cochran, willingly, with their eyes open, install it! This path leads to ever increasing leftward movement. Somewhere, the line is drawn.

It was for many people in 2012. Refusal to participate in the charade of voting for tyranny in order to vote against it.

People are opting out of that loser's game, and I think that's the really BIG thing awaiting us in 2016. If the GOP nominates another functional amoral Democrat tyrant Republican like it did in 2012, then all bets are off.

Good grief.

Harry Reid is no longer in power. There are more Conservatives in the Senate than ever. The House is as conservative as it ever has been. IF this Congress doesn’t get something done to stop the TYRANT then Republicans deserve permanent, turn out the lights minority status. At that point, I won’t care anymore. This country won’t be worth saving. The parasite class will have won. Voting won’t even matter anymore.

You are a loser that only shows up for elections to tell people to vote GOP.

Your posting history shows that.

Your GOP is screwing up badly. McConnell may as well be Reid.
