Cochran———still better than the Dem albeit with caveats already well known.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Bullshit!!! The only person worse than Cochran (and Haley Barbour) is a child molester who rapes little boys. But, they are running a very close second place.

What would YOU call people who are calling themselves “conservatives” while ardently advocating for election and victory of Democrats, and keeping Harry Reid and Obama in power?

I would call them people of principle. Anyone who would vote for the despicable, Thad Cochran, who is, morally, just a tad bit better than a child molester, I'd call them RINO ass-lickers who have no principles and no balls and who would probably hide under the bed if thugs broke into their house and was raping their wife.

ANY MORE QUESTIONS???

Would that McDaniel had chosen another route - Had he flipped to independent and kept running, no doubt he would have won. THAT would have been a clear repudiation of the GOPe, and their tactics. He would have also walked into the government with no ties but to the Conservatives who put him there.

Now, if Cochran loses, it will be spun as an endorsement of democrat ideals, though if he wins, it is an endorsement of RINO ideals, and a reward for dirty pool.

Tough.

Any conservative that votes for a democrat is not a conservative I ever wish to be associated with. I prefer beheading rather than voting democrat.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Did you ever stop to think that maybe Conservatives who have enough principles to vote their conscience might not want to associate with RINO ass-lickers who have no balls and no principles?

McDaniel would have done what you suggested, but, after the Primary Run-off, in which paid, Black Democrats crossed over, voted in the GOP Primary Run-off and gave Thad Cochran a narrow victory, it was too late by MS Election Law for Chris to file to run as an Independent.

I hope Thad Cochran and Haley Barbour rot in hell.

‘Conservatives refusing to vote for the Establishment hack and instead vote third party or writing in a Conservative.’

We see eye to eye on this, and yet I would like to quibble with that statement. This is not a case of conservatives balking at voting for an Establishment hack. This is a case where Cochran’s team smeared the TEA party as racist—confirming the worst bigotry of the black Dem voters to whom it was appealing—lied outright about McDaniel, and STOLE a GOP run-off election by engaging a sufficient number of Democrat voters to override the will of the Republican and/or conservative constituency.

So it is a lot more than conservatives having misgivings about a GOPe hack. It is the question of whether or not to reward GOPe behavior that is far worse than anything Obama-via-Alinsky has used. Obama & co. paint the opposition as backward, dishonest, anti-black racists. Cochran’s team painted members of his own party/conservatives as black-hating bigots. There is nothing on the Dem side to match this order of perfidy.

If it is rewarded, it will be deemed a success. If it is deemed a success, it will be used again & again in future elections. I.e.: the template for defeating TEA party candidates will be to (1) paint them as vile, hateful, disgusting racists, and (2) enlist Dem voters to neutralize Republican votes & decide the election via liberal/anti-conservative, one-time-only ‘recruits’.

That is our choice. To reward the worst possible behavior on the part of truly depraved former-Dems [who must have become Republicans for sheer convenience, since they act just like Dems to this day] and experience ever increasing levels of this toxic behavior, or to stop it in its tracks. If it proves ineffective, it will not be used again.

A minor quibble with a poster with whom I very much agree, but fwiw, there it is.

First, I want to make one thing perfectly clear: It is the stated position of Erick and the mods that Red State advocates voting for the most conservative candidate in the primaries, and the Republican in the general election.

This is why Erick Erickson can't be taken seriously as a conservative leader.

I was speaking in-general, in terms of a Party Hack that trolls threads to intimidate principled Conservatives who are writing in Conservatives or voting 3rd party for a more Conservative candidate than the GOP Ruling Class stooge.

I was not speaking in specific terms about Cochran, but that heinous act itself justifies principled Conservatives in MS in doing what is necessary to deny the GOP Ruling Class their seat.

It also adds to the absolute disgust and disdain of the GOP party itself. Conservatives like Cruz and Lee need to be circumspect because we are fast approaching the time (if not here already) that the filth of the Establishment GOP will tarnish their image among Conservatives by staying within a corrupted and sinister party run by and controlled by Big Government Statists who loathe Conservatives more than the Democrats do.

And just as we saw with the despicable and heinous fraud and crap the GOP Establishment did in MS, we see it visited again right here by Party Loyalists who are all-too-eager to join McConnell in vowing to crush Conservatives and ‘punch them in the nose’ wherever they find them when their principles no longer keep them slaves on the GOP Plantation.

That would be due to the fact they HAVE NO PRINCIPLES. Only chains to a party that they think benefits them. In that way they are no better than blacks who are beholden to the Democrat party, who despite facts, refuse to see that they are reduced to slaves and made pawns.

So too is it with the GOP party hacks.

First of all, knock off the swearing on the forum. Have some class.

Second of all, we tried to get rid of the lowlife scumbags and we failed in the primaries to do so.

You have to face that fact.

What is ignorant is being a pissant living in a fairy tale.

If Harry Reid stays as the Majority leader in the Senate, Republicans have NO seat at the table.

That means no ability to effect any change or to pass any legislation or to blunt Obama.

The GOP might as well go home for the next two years.

And then you can bask in at least two lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court that will be horrendous, and other assorted terrible legislation that will complete the transformation of this nation into a Communist hellhole.

Stop acting like this is the your first time at the rodeo.

Voting for anyone other than the GOP with 6 days to go is suicide for the nation—that is how critical this is.

We have already had two hellish years more of Obama than was necessary due to “principle” of people having a tantrum in 2012.

Enough already.

Your choice—act to save the nation or just make noise—or in your case—”din”.

The GOP might still win a majority without Cochran, but a vote for Cochran is surely a vote for corrupt GOPe chronyism. Cochran is as much of an enemy of conservatism as any democrat.

Principle my ass. The only principle involved in voting for a democrat is the advancement of Marxism in America. Write in the candidate of your choice, vote libertarian, vote conservative party. Hell vote Green Party but voting for democrats makes you complicit in their march toward Marx and I want nothing to do with you. Adios.

we tried to get rid of the lowlife scumbags and we failed in the primaries to do so.

Rules changes, endless money from the Chamber of Fascism, outright stolen elections, fraud, intimidation, a complicit media and a combined effort by the GOP leadership working in tandem with Democrats make getting rid of ruling class scumbags via civil means an impossibility.

But you will lie to yourself and try to convince others this is not the case.

If Harry Reid stays as the Majority leader in the Senate, Republicans have NO seat at the table.

Conservatives have NO seat at the table with either of them as it is, and the GOP Leadership is as complicit with Obama and Reid's agenda as they are inept in stopping it.

That means no ability to effect any change or to pass any legislation or to blunt Obama.

They refused to do so even when they had the chance to use the power of the purse and other parliamentary procedures, but the leadership refused and went to war on Cruz and Lee and Paul for daring to do so. So spare us your Loyalist pap, stop insulting our intelligence.

The GOP might as well go home for the next two years.

They might as well have BEEN at home for the last 6. McConnell, Boehner and McCarthy have ALREADY told us they plan on surrendering to the Democrats if they win the majority. They plan on returning power of the filibuster to Reid, plan on passing a carte blanche budget for an entire year BEFORE the next Congress is seated so there is no possible shut down of government, to name just two items in terms of surrender to Obama - not to mention ObamaCare being "here to stay".

Voting for anyone other than the GOP with 6 days to go is suicide for the nation—that is how critical this is.

That line has been used to scare everyone into voting the party since 1988.

It doesn't fly anymore. It was the GOP under Bush II and a GOP Congress that greased the skids for where we now find ourselves. So that scare-tactic is moot.

We have already had two hellish years more of Obama than was necessary due to “principle” of people having a tantrum in 2012.

Good luck without us principled Conservatives, I can care less whether or not you people want to call this a 'tantrum' or not. Your party leadership made certain we understood they loathe us more than the Democrats do and want us gone from their party.

Saving the nation is not going to come via the ballot box. We're too far gone for that.

You have not said anything that I don’t already know, nor with which I disagree.

I have been calling for a new political party for two years.

You have six days until the election, and none of what you have pointed out is going to be fixed by then.

At some point, you have to be a realist.

The real world is what is at stake next Tuesday. What are you going to do—sit it out?

Vote for the Democrat?

I’ll vote for a scumbag Republican before I ever vote for a no-good Commie Democrat. Ever. And if anyone thinks Childers will be the first and only moderate Democrat in Harry Reid’s Senate, they are on crack.

And you say it is too late to fix things by the ballot.

OK, then what is your plan? Why are you even still in this country if it so gone?

To sit here and jawbone about this country is so “over”?

Lead the militia? What?

But please don’t pollute FreeRepublic with posts for the next two years about how Obama and the Democrats are ruining this country.

You have a chance to hold back the tide.

You can give Cruz and Lee and Sessions a voice if they are in the majority and put Mitch and his minions through their paces.

Otherwise, you are just yelling into the wind.

If you wait until there is a perfect candidate, you will die in front of your computer waiting for one.

You have lemons, you make lemonade.

The prize is the Senate. Without that, we ‘re done.

I won’t participate in flushing America down the toilet when there is a chance to save it.

Six days. Choose wisely.

And I know what it is like to the GOP betray you. You have Cochran in MS. I had Christine O’Donnell in 2010 and saw up close and personal the willingness of the national and local GOP to give up a chance at gaining a Senate seat. Chris Coons never should have been a Senator. Christine on her worst day would have been 5 times a better Senator than Coons. Oh, but she’s a witch, doncha know—thanks to a betrayal by a GOP consultant. We wound up throwing out the entire GOP leadership in DE after that election. You have to do the same in MS.

So,no, I am not a party loyalist or hack.

Keep the MS seat in the GOP’s hands. Take the Senate.

That is Job One in 2014—take the Senate.

Otherwise, hole up in your bunker and leave the rest of us to do the job.

You have six days until the election, and none of what you have pointed out is going to be fixed by then.

Nothing is going to be fixed period. We did not get here in one election cycle. This was a century in the making. it doesn't matter if the GOP 'sweeps' in and takes the Senate. McConnell has already told us he is surrendering power to the Democrats as a first act of business.

What are you going to do—sit it out?

No. I'm writing in a Conservative. McConnell can pound sand. I will do so knowing that our votes matter little now anyway. We're being replaced with Mexicans on top of 'calibration errors', ballot box stuffing and other fraud. Cook County went national, corruption has made Washington an impenetrable stronghold of Oligarchs. The GOP Ruling Class are happy to let the Chamber of Fascism select our rulers and set policy via K Street lobbyists.

OK, then what is your plan? Why are you even still in this country if it so gone?

II Chronicles 7:13-14.

Look, I've lived in the slums of the third world. I've witnessed institutionalized abuse, caste and persecution. Now it's here, being institutionalized and nearly everyone is plagued with Normalcy Bias and refuses to see it. All I keep hearing is 'Vote Republican! Vote Republican!' Since that is the only 'plan' most are insisting as our only salvation, I'm resigned to the consequences of where we are already heading.

You have a chance to hold back the tide.

No. I don't. Only a fool would have such delusions of grandeur. Elections are not going to solve our problems. The root cause of our national decline is not political. Politics is merely a symptom of where we have devolved spiritually as a culture. Judgment is coming and indeed is already here.

You can give Cruz and Lee and Sessions a voice if they are in the majority and put Mitch and his minions through their paces.

Now you are just being delusional and willfully ignoring what Mitch and his minions have done to them since we gave them the House in 2010. How STUPID do you think we are? Our memories are not as willfully short as yours.

I won’t participate in flushing America down the toilet when there is a chance to save it.

You have no chance to save it at the ballot box. NONE. You are deceiving yourself. Our culture and spiritual condition as a nation is reflected in those now ruling us. Elections are not going to save us from the consequences of a spiritually sick and hedonistic nation. Period. I don't care how you attempt to rationalize that away.

Republicans are not going to save us. Republicans are not even going to attempt to turn the tide of what we have been fundamentally transformed into. Instead they have already told us that they plan to capitulate to Democrats and that we need to accept that Obama's agenda is 'here to stay'.

You have lemons, you make lemonade.

Been doing that for the past 26 years at the voting booth bub. No more. I've repented of it. The lemons are rotted, and the water is stagnant. Adding more sugar because we have to use rotten fruit forcibly handed to us is not going to make the drink any better. But go ahead and keep telling yourself how good it is when you swallow.

Six days. Choose wisely.

I will only and forever more vote for Conservatives who meets the criteria of my principles while we are still allowed the illusion of choice.

I won't vote for a Big Government Statist simply because they have an 'R' next to their name and lie to myself that I'm 'saving the nation' by doing so.

I'm done participating in what II Timothy 3:13 warns us of.

I never said that I thought Cochran should win - I just wrote what I believe will be the result of the election. In fact, after I wrote my comment, I went to realclearpolitics and the latest poll has Cochran up by 22 points.

As hard as it is, it appears one needs to work from within. It takes longer, but can be effective over time. Every one wants things fixed immediately. It does not work that way, apparently.
