With a little more than a week remaining before the mid-term elections, most conservatives are focusing upon a dozen Senate races, as Republicans are expected to gain control of the upper chamber.
But the contest that piques my interest the most is the gubernatorial race in Wisconsin, where Republican Governor Scott Walker is locked in a dogfight with Democratic challenger Mary Burke. Walkers re-election is very much in doubt, despite the accomplishments of his first term: putting Wisconsins fiscal house back in order, reforming the states collective bargaining process, and giving local communities greater control over their affairs.
According to a Marquette Law School poll released on October 15, Walker and Burke are in a dead heat, with 47 of likely voters preferring each. The dial hasnt moved much since. Exactly a week later, a Rasmussen poll had Burke up by one; the following day, a St. Norbert College/Wisconsin Public Radio poll had Walker up by one. A quintessential toss-up.
Should Walker prevail, he will have, in the space of four years, outlasted the occupation of the state legislature by union and other left-wing activists, survived a recall electionthe first governor in U.S. history to do soand earned a second term in his own right, all while governing as a conservative in one of the bluest states in the nation. Liberal organizations have dedicated more time and money to beating Walker than any other Republican, and yet Walker has taken everything these liberal groups have thrown his way and still come out on top.

does he still have a squeaky voice?
Walker rules.
And I don’t even live in Wisconsin.
Beautiful state, though. Can’t wait to go back.
The John Edwards factor. “Now can you win nationally when you can’t win your own state”? Santorum has the same problem.
That said, aside from being a fantastic candidate, if he could swing WI to the republicans (which was barely blue in 2000 and 2004), it would be a critical chess piece moved on the electoral game board.
Scott Walker would be a good potential VP candidate on the Ted Cruz 2016 ticket.
Let’s unite behind Ted Cruz and not splinter the conservative vote yet again in 2016 allowing a GOPe candidate to prevail.
mary burke has been running a campaign of 100% lies.
Politifact has nailed her on 14+ outright lies.
Yet she continues to run the lies and Walker has yet to hit back — his few commercials have been weak on response.
It is amazing to me as I shuttle between Milwaukee and Dallas as it seems the same campaign of lies on the (d) side but with very different polling.
CRUZ 2016
Accept no counterfeits.
Now = “how”. Ipad autocorrect. Fascists.
I’d vote for Cruz in a heartbeat, just as long as the MSM doesn’t give us another RINO to vote for again...
We only had the benefit of his work for two of his four years in the previous cycle what with the nastiness of the recall and all.
Wow! That would be a great ticket.
I'm all in for Cruz and what Walker has accomplished is very impressive.
I stand with Ted
Gay marriage a dead issue - Scott Walker

Walker says don’t run against RINO’s in primaries (RINO loving)

does he still support amnesty and citizenship for illegals?
does he still think we should not make abortion and the gay agenda an issue?
does he still think leftist Republicans should not be challenged, even in primaries??????
The only potential problem with Governor Walker running for POTUS is: Will he want to run for President? He’s said he wouldn’t previously. My dear in-laws in Wisconsin certainly want him to, as do I!
Who is really electable in the 2016 general election?
That speaks VOLUMES.
You can’t win this argument
I know, but we'll continue to debate until the very end.
That's why I love FR :-)
I could do a Cruz/Walker ticket or Cruz/West
I’m going with a Hillary/Michelle ticket.
