Laurie Fulton, the Douglas County board of elections supervisor, explained that the decision was made out of an abundance of caution.

Caution ?

Maybe I am missing something here?

The guy was voting, not working the polls, what the hell does it matter what he wears to vote...

If other voters waiting in line are so easily manipulated by a hat or t-shirt maybe they should not be allowed to vote ?

Typical democrat. Can’t take care of herself so she decides to take care of everyone else.

A gentleman usually removes his hat indoors, or should.

That's how I was raised. Gentlemen remove their hats while indoors. Glad to know that some folks like onedoug have manners.

Yes, "abundance of caution" in this instance, but no such standard when it comes to Ebola ... I guess common sense & spreading knowledge of the Constitution would be more dangerous than a virulent pathogen.

No matter what, a real man would have taken his hat off when entering the building.

More than than, he should not have been wearing his cover, because Georgia prohibits tha carriage of arms within 150' of a polling place.

Today, we see CITIZENS proclaiming to that world, that once again, we are fed up with governmental abuses.
It had nothing to do with Democrat or Republican, but the free speech statement of Americans.

Well said!

Man Told To Remove His NRA Instructor Hat While Voting...sure glad nobody asked me to remove my old fatigue cap complete with my captain's bars which I wore proudly to vote in the 2004 presidential election - even said a little prayer in memory of the probably thousands of troops he helped maim and kill with his disrespectful and traitorous actions against our efforts in Vietnam as I pulled the lever against John Kerry - now Secretary of State - what a world......

I'll see your Infidel hat and raise you:

(Matt 5:10)
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

That law is illegitimate:

Art 1, Paragraph VIII. Arms, right to keep and bear.
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, but the General Assembly shall have power to prescribe the manner in which arms may be borne.
The only thing they could do is prohibit either concealed-carry, or open-carry, not both — and they certainly can't prohibit bearing arms.

Because it’s etiquette. Albeit there are exceptions.

Militarily, one remains covered indoors if armed. In the old West, I suppose that tradition may have indirectly covered most saloons. Today there are the country bars and such.

But my Mom and Dad, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers and the Golden Book Encyclopedia, all indicated it was, and is the right and gentlemanly thing to do.

There was a thread a while back about Christians in the middle east being marked with that, the Arabic letter N (for Nasrani) used in marking Christians.

What ever happened to a polite “screw you” response?

Hell if I would have put up with 15 seconds of that BS.

The slaughter is going to get worse when the subhuman, murderous, blood-sopped, troglodyte-muzzies-from-hell consolidate their caliphate, and begin the extermination in earnest. They’re dead if they’re not in heavily-guarded camps or out of the region.
