UKIP is planning to fight for 100 seats at the next election, with a third of voters saying they are prepared to back Nigel Farage.

Paul Sykes, the party’s biggest donor, revealed he is ready to write a check for £1.5 million to bankroll the ambitious push.

As Tory divisions deepen over how to respond to the Euroskeptic threat, a new poll put UKIP on 18 percent, with one in three people willing to back the party if they thought they could win in their local area. […]

Defense Secretary Michael Fallon today pleaded with even voters who want to leave the European Union to stay with the Tories. He told BBC One’s Andrew Marr show: “If you want change in Europe, if you want a referendum on Europe, if you are against Europe and want to leave, the only party that will give you that vote is the Conservatives.” …

The Tories did it to themselves. They helped create the sickness in the UK where you get arrested for “racism” just for saying you are not a Muslim, never mind the other societal sicknesses.

At some point you realize that trying to work within a party is futile.

The Brits have reached that point, when will we?

Cameron also lied when he first ran, on a platform of allowing the people to vote on the EU. He then (don’t they always?) proceeded to conveniently forget once he’d been elected.

The weekly columns of Peter Hitchens regularly expose the fakery of Cameron.....

We need an American version of UKIP. Obama’s executive amnesty will be the tipping point for a third major party in the US.

Awesome. David Cameron is not worthy of Margaret Thatcher’s position.

The phrase “euroskeptic threat” speaks volumes about where the Conservative Party leadership stands. Things are similar here with the Republican Party putting far more effort and venom into fighting off the amorphous Tea Party movement than attacking the very real and powerful enemies of the Constitution and the Republic occupying the White House, Senate, courts, media, and academia.

When you bounce from those promises to expressing desire to “export…it (gay marriage) around the world”, the Tories have some nerve to feign shock that they would be rejected by their base. (Of course, what with Cameron claiming to be the oxymoronic “liberal conservative” four years before becoming PM, who could not have seen this coming?)

Someday.... far into the future... when we are sure EU will win...

Much of the GOPe supports amnesty. Heck, they support a lot of what Obama has done, see how hard they fight? ... not.

Exactly. When Obama did his Dreamer amnesty in 2012, there was hardly a reaction from the GOPe. Only a couple of Rep Senate candidates have gone after the Dems on the Gang of 8 amnesty bill. Here is VA, Gillespie has said nothing about immigration or the impending Obama executive order amnesty. The reality is that the GOP generally supports amnesty and increased immigration and guest worker programs. Both parties have abandoned the American worker.

Politicians only hold referendums when they think they can win them.
