Another week of surge of R ballots will be very difficult for the Dems to overcome.

You have no idea how encouraging that statement, and this article, encourages me. I’ve really been worried about CO with the potential for voter fraud with all the mail ballots. We always have to get enough votes to render voter fraud inept. Looks like Colorado folks are doing it.

I could rattle off the names of a half dozen Freepers, just off the top of my head, who have said they aren’t voting because they won’t cast for RINOs anymore.

Could also cite two or three who have said they plan to vote for pro-abort candidates like Alison Grimes to really teach the GOPe a lesson.

Now that could be just bluster on their part, or they could be paid Dem trolls posting out of the basement of the DNC or DSCC ... Is that what you’re saying?

You ever heard of Ted Cruz? Or Mike Lee? or Jeff Sessions?

I'm talking about Republican candidates running for office. Not the ones who already won.

I meant I have not heard one conservative that I know personally say they will not vote. Sorry, I should have been clear on that.

I think it is part bluster to “out conservative” other people. But you’re right, there are paid trolls. No sensible person could have a strategy that stupid.

-— Oh the ballots returned at this point is more than the 2012 presidential election. -—

It looks like Republicans weren’t excited about their nominee in 2012. Thanks, Karl.

There were no gains for the Dems in the overall numbers over the weekend. The Dims were outvoted by about 4,000 votes from the 24th October ballot returned. Rs increased their lead from 65k to about 69k over the Dims even with their Denver dumpster diving campaign returning 15k ballots for the Dems.

In 2012, the Rs outvoted the Dims by 2% as I recall. They need to outvote them somewhere around +10%.

That will happen, IMO. Thanks for the good info, R S.

"Sunbeam" Cory Gardner is about a lock as the next Colorado Senator. Even Ras left leaning polling now has Gardner by 6% over Udall (51% to 45%) released today.

Co Peak Politics - BYE BYE UDALL: Poll Swing 8 Points Towards Gardner Since September

Sunbeam has won over enough women to take Udall down. Beauprez will be a closer race, but it looks like the pollsters are getting it very wrong in their turnout models by at least by 6% or more, and it looks like the rural counties are turning out big time for their respective sizes.

Oh yeah, IMO, getting Beauprez over the finish line is more important to us in Colorado for the immediate future than the Senate race. Now if Sunbeam Gardner can send some sun to Beauprez.

More good news!

Gardner has run a good campaign and it’s paying off.

If Udall would “squeak” out a win, people are going to be mad as hell. I don’t see Gardner taking it and just walking away, either.

But that won’t happen. Gardner wins.

I think he will. And a lot of Dem. gun owners will help defeat Hick.

The Dims are in a panic.

They got the Billy C-toon visiting the state for a pep rally. And I just heard on the radio local state rep Pete Lee-Dim asking for Dems to turn in complete ballots. Lee - Oh please don’t forget about me!! LoL.

The Dims are getting their clocks cleaned in votes for El Paso county - Rs 55.28% vs Ds 20.75% .

Wow. As long as we have good turn out, we’ll be okay.

Then hold the Republican’s feet to the fire.

I would not “send mine in”. I'm sure the postal service union has been provided with a list of all Republicans who have been issued mail in ballots, with an instruction to destroy or lose the ballots when they are mailed.

Paranoid? Me? Naa!

Early voting should be illegal.

The NYT’s editorial board is getting worried:

“Colorado has emerged as a state where Democrats desperately need to do a better job of turning out voters than they did in 2010. Mr. Udall trails in the polls by an even wider margin than Mr. Bennet did four years ago, and he’ll need an even more favorable electorate to defy the odds again. ...

So far, the early vote looks pretty good for Mr. Gardner. More than 650,000 ballots had been tabulated by Sunday night, and registered Republicans outnumbered registered Democrats by 10.5 points, 42.8 to 32.3. If it holds, that will be even better for Republicans than 2010.”
