EX-cbs-reporter-explains-how-the-liberal-media-protects-obama
New York Post ^ | October 25,2014 | Kyle Smith

Sharyl Attkisson is an unreasonable woman. Important people have told her so.

When the longtime CBS reporter asked for details about reinforcements sent to the Benghazi compound during the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack, White House national security spokesman Tommy Vietor replied, “I give up, Sharyl . . . I’ll work with more reasonable folks that follow up, I guess.”

Another White House flack, Eric Schultz, didn’t like being pressed for answers about the Fast and Furious scandal in which American agents directed guns into the arms of Mexican drug lords. “Goddammit, Sharyl!” he screamed at her. “The Washington Post is reasonable, the

LA Times is reasonable, The New York Times is reasonable. You’re the only one who’s not reasonable!” Two of her former bosses, CBS Evening News executive producers Jim Murphy and Rick Kaplan, called her a “pit bull.”

That was when Sharyl was being nice.

Now that she’s no longer on the CBS payroll, this pit bull is off the leash and tearing flesh off the behinds of senior media and government officials. In her new memoir/exposé “Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington” (Harper),

Attkisson unloads on her colleagues in big-time TV news for their cowardice and cheerleading for the Obama administration while unmasking the corruption, misdirection and outright lying of today’s Washington political machine.

Here’s an eye-opener for you. Make sure you’re sitting down when you read it.

Bernie Goldberg wrote the same book 15 years ago. This is old news.

“Bernie Goldberg wrote the same book 15 years ago. This is old news.”

Maybe so, but it’s still true and bears a serious repeating for the benefit of the stupid amongst us!

What a strange post...

Maybe you should explain to all of us why we should just Move On, outpostinmass2.

‘Has anyone who is a conservative not instinctly know this happens every day?’

You’re right. We know it, and usually by a lot more than instinct. However, not everyone who posts on FR is a conservative. & some of our liberal/lefty friends still imagine the press is neutral.

Or so they claim.

I’m just saying if you read Bernie Goldberg’s book Bias then you have essentially read this book. Which means nothing has changed in the last 15 years except a couple of people.

In his nearly thirty years at CBS News, Emmy Award winner Bernard Goldberg earned a reputation as one of the preeminent reporters in the television news business. When he looked at his own industry, however, he saw that the media far too often ignored their primary mission: to provide objective, disinterested reporting. Again and again he saw that the news slanted to the left. For years, Goldberg appealed to reporters, producers, and network executives for more balanced reporting, but no one listened. The liberal bias continued.

Now, breaking ranks and naming names, he reveals a corporate news culture in which the closed-mindedness is breathtaking and in which entertainment wins over hard news every time.

You're right. Why should we on the Right be like the Left, and hammer on the same theme day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day...

After all, a guy wrote about it that one time.

I mean, it doesn't work for them - just look at the smoking shambles of their nation-wide "gay marriage" campaign. Oh, wait...

AND - we shouldn't reward brave people like Sharyl Attkisson like the Left does its spearcatchers. That doesn't seem to work for them, either. Just look how broke Nicolle Wallace is these days...

We need to support and reward people like Sharyl Attkisson, not note that Bernie "wrote the same book 15 years ago".

The Left rewards its foot soldiers.

AND FURTHERMORE - Bernie didn't yank Katie Couric's pants down around her ankles on the national stage like Sharyl did.

governs - did you catch the Attkisson-Couric anecdote? Seems The Perky One wanted in on the Fast & Furious action, and asked Attkisson if she could have "the get" on a "Dick" Holder interview.

Result? Looks like Katie got orders from the White House, no interview was forthcoming, and Sharyl Attkisson started to get leaned on, hard, at SeeBS.
