Pledge Aligns Childers with Hate Groups
Jackson Free Press ^ | Ronni Mott

Posted on 10/25/2014 9:24:37 PM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

In September, Travis Childers, Mississippi's Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, completed a survey about immigration. Childers' stance has consistently been anti-immigration, so his opposing amnesty for "dreamers," young people whose parents brought them into this country without authorization when they were too young to object, is no surprise.

#What angers Democrats is the questionnaire's source: The Federation for American Immigration Reform, known as FAIR. The questions are: 1. Will you oppose or support legislation that would grant any form of work authorization to illegal aliens? 2. Will you oppose or support legislation that would increase the overall number of immigrants (legal permanent residents/green card holders) admitted each year to the U.S.? 3. Will you oppose or support legislation that would increase the overall number of guest workers admitted each year to the U.S.?

#Childers opposed each one, and FAIR is crowing about its first Democratic "pledge signer." Despite its name, FAIR has no interest in immigration "reform"; it seeks "to end illegal immigration through enforcement of existing immigration laws as well as the application of new technology" and "to set legal immigration at the lowest feasible levels consistent with the national security, economic, demographic, environmental and socio-cultural interests of the present and future."

Cochran was a rat at one time.

Cochran became a true rat this time around - betray his side of the aisle while using the other side to do his dirty work is the last straw. MS can recover if he loses his seat to the Dem - the worry is whether it would also screw the pooch for the bigger game.

The Chamber of Crony Capitalism would never let Thad sign anything like this, even if Thad knew what it was

A lot could happen in 6 years - including either a conservative trend in Childers and the way he votes or a real conservative replacing him. I have more faith in the MS voters than I do in the republican party.

Happy early Birthday, Trebb! I wish you could have that present you want. Maybe it’ll happen.

I’m really thinking about voting for Childers, too. It would be a terribly hard thing to do, and I would be horrified if any of the poll workers knew I did it, but I’m so darned mad at the MS Supreme Court and the entire Barbour-Cochran network that I could just spit. This was a criminal election, and all the “powers-that-be” sided with the crimes. BS on that flimsy “deadline to file” bull crap from the courts!

I’m more than disappointed in the entire Mississippi GOP and most of the National GOP which brings us to our Mississippi dilemma and why we’re pissed off. I will NOT vote for cochran or democrat travis childers or for a reform party I know nothing about who’s going nowhere and would use any inflated vote he got to tout his party and ignore what’s happened and further divide Conservatives. I will vote for childers, if he were Conservative he wouldn’t be a democrat, I can’t say trustworthy because we have that same problem with Republicans. childers voted against obamacare but he didn’t “make up his mind” until the democrats had enough votes to pass it and was allowed to vote against and hold this seat for the democrats until his vote was to be needed on the next big issue. He also voted for the “Food Safety Act” that in reality does nothing for safety but everything thing for big government control of our lives, expansion of big government and increased food prices. I know he signed an agreement on amnesty, his stand and word will last util his vote is needed, we’ve seen this pattern over and over with democrats and Republicans. I do NOT want the democrats to retain the control of the Senate, we are better even with mConnell than harry reid but I will NOT vote for cochran and offer any symblance of approval for the campaign the gop ran against legitimate Conservative Republicans. I’m going to register my vote for the best candidate and place the Mississippi US Senate race in God’s hands, I’m writing in Chris McDaniel knowing it will not count but it will count for me. It has been noted that write ins will not count but a high number of them will be noted by the political parties and will be evident by the numbers that turned out to vote and the numbers that actually vote in the US Senate race.

Jackson Free Press is a tiny lefty rag catering to Jacksons miniscule white liberal community centered around Fondren neighborhood and those few literate blacks whose politics run deeper than simple EBT recompense

This article signifies nothing
