We already have a starting point.

The potential is there but the liberals have spoiled it by giving away the country. Mexicans just happen to be first in line due to proximity.

30 years ago in the south New Mexico/El Paso area it was the legalized Mexicans that were turning in the illegals that were sponging the system because they knew that the pot was only so big. That was a generation ago.

I would so love for all the “scum” that is flooding our borders and country today to have an epiphany once they get their feet on the ground and realize that they have been handed the most precious opportunity on the planet and foster some kind of respect for protecting it.

Thanks for the positive thought this morning.

I hate to sound like a pessimist BUT the hispanics from Mexico and further south have fled societies with corrupt governments not grounded in the rule of law. The hapless citizens of those countries learn two lessons: 1. How to use the government to get everything they can from that government. 2. How to avoid the adverse effects of the same government on other aspects of their lives. They do this intuitively and probably without a lot of reflection on the whole process.

Those citizens are unfamiliar with the concepts of limited constitutional government, individual freedom, and natural law that (used to) underlie our society. With some exceptions, they will bring what is familiar to them with them and seek to see to replicate it here. The Democrats and their handmaidens, the US Chamber(pot) of Commerce Republicans, will be happy to help them do so.

That pie chart doesn’t look that much different than it would for the population as a whole. I think conservatives need to deliver a message that transcends racial and ethnic groupings. Work hard, live right, be responsible for yourselves and your family, and be independent. If you do these things you will prosper without the government controlling your life.

Either those principles resonate with Americans or they do not. It doesn’t matter whether they are Lationo, black or Asian. The politics of racial and ethnic division are the politics of the left.

Hispanics have a 53% out of wedlock birth rate.

Hispanics use the welfare system to a great extent.

There is certainly more there to work with than some other minority communities whom shall remain nameless.
