Gohmert: Gays Shouldn’t Serve in Military Because They’d Just Be ‘Getting Massages All Day’

Video
This is your daily reminder that Louie Gohmert is an elected U.S. official who receives at least 70 percent of his district’s vote every two years.

Appearing this week on Christian talk radio show Point of View, the Texas Republican pivoted a conversation on the U.S. military response to Ebola in West Africa to a rant against the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the 1993 policy that prevented openly gay people from serving in the military.

Gohmert being Gohmert, this was no ordinary rant against gay people in the military. No, no, this one connected Gohmert’s belief that gay people like to give each other massages, and thus would be unable to properly fight a war because they’d be too busy rubbing each other’s shoulders all day. Full text below:

I’ve had people say, “Hey, you know, there’s nothing wrong with gays in the military. Look at the Greeks.” Well, you know, they did have people come along who they loved that was the same sex and would give them massages before they went into battle. But you know what, it’s a different kind of fighting, it’s a different kind of war and if you’re sitting around getting massages all day ready to go into the big, planned battle, then you’re not going to last very long. It’s guerrilla fighting. You are going to be ultimately vulnerable to terrorism and, you know, if that’s what you start doing in the military like the Greeks did, as people have said, “Louie, you have got to understand, you don’t even know your history.” Oh, yes, I do. I know exactly. It’s not a good idea.

Come on. Do you know any gays that would prefer massages as first choice and other acts of gay gratification second? Of course not! It's not that gays shouldn't serve in the military because they'd be getting massages all day, it's because they'd be looking for other soldiers to engage in acts of gay physical gratification all day.

Duncan Hunter Sr always pointed to problems with unit cohesion if gays openly served.

Bad for unit cohesion. Or just say bad for morale. Then you don't have to argue about the high rate of gay-related problems, like psychologically unstable (5 times higher), more prone to criminal behavior like stealing (again, about a 5-fold higher incidence among gays), treason (a la Bradley Manning), violent behavior, including especially rape.

The GOP has no one to blame but themselves for the repeal of DADT. It could have been stopped in the 2010 lame duck if the usual-suspect RINOs had voted the right way.

The use of the military for social experimentation starting in the 1990s with the Tailhook so-called 'scandal' and the establishment of DACOWITS has got to be one of the most pernicious acts ever committed against this country by the Left. Regardless of whatever one may personally believe about the rights of women and gays, there's simply no excuse for sacrificing unit cohesion and readiness on the altar of political correctness.

My worry is that the next shoe to drop will be dumbing-down of standards for special forces such as the Seals and the Rangers. The GOP absolutely needs to do everything possible to prevent that from happening and not knuckle under to p.c., regardless of the political fallout.

I would change that to Cruz/Gohmert.

But there are some pesky requirements that running mates cannot be from the same state.

Bah!

As I've posted on other threads, I think bigger things are ahead for Senator Ted Cruz, things that will endure for generations. I see him rising to Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. He's a young man with a keen legal mind and will serve for decades. With his wise influence, a court led Chief Justice Ted Cruz will overturn Roe v. Wade, restore God to the classroom, exterminate affirmative action, eliminate birthright citizenship and maybe -- just maybe -- find the income tax to be illegal.

While the thought of President Ted Cruz is very, very appealing, I think Almighty God is lifting this man up for even bigger and longer lasting things than the presidency. IMHO. Thoughts?

There are reports that sexual assault is way way up in the military since the DADT was eliminated. Gohmert could have made a better point with these facts. I understand what he’s trying to say (and he is trying to keep it clean), and it is a valid point. But without backing, he’s just setting himself up for ridicule by the liberal MSM.

I gave up hopes on any SC justice years ago.

And what a total tool John Roberts has been. Oy!

Even if the SCOTUS had a 7-2 majority of conservatives, I don’t see much opportunity for real effective change. Why? Becuase the real balance of power has shifted primarily to the Executive Branch. I know this is wrong, and not how it should be. But decades of a lame Congress and even weaker Supreme Court have just left me so disappointed.

Here’s a compromise... Have Ted Cruz serve as President for eight years. Then having corrected the many wrongs of Obama and having set in place a solid foundation for future conservatives; he can then accept a place of authority in the Supreme Court.

Gays have unregulated sexual impulses. It come with the territory. That’s why it’s a sickness- it’s unregulated. The topic of gay recruitment is rarely broached meaningfully, analytically, but it’s a continuing attack upon lost youth who may be frustrated and looking for validation or a surrogate authority with a regimen of values. Gays are a political ploy by globalist oligarch factions to weaken a nation’s ability to react to violence in a fight fire with fire manner. The oligarchy feeds on weakness and encourages its growth in ways the conservatives have not quite yet sussed. So much of conservative ethos is defensive, not a good strategic position. The compensation is to bully rather than to trounce intellectually. Not smart.

That's a good and very logical idea. That would then pave the way for a still vibrant Louie Gohmert to advance to an executive level, perhaps even President!

I thought there were several, but nope.

Wm. Howard Taft was the only person to serve as a US President and later served as a Justice.

Wm. Howard Taft was the only person to serve as a US President and later served as a Justice.

Around that same time, the leftists, including the vile William Jennings Bryan, a CINO, were setting up a trajectory for the 'RAT Woodrow Wilson to eventually ascend to the SCOTUS. But we he went even more cuckoo than he already was, that plan was scuttled.
