The precedent I’d look at is the one that says if you are compelled to go one mile, go two.
The bible never got erased by modern political philosophizing.
It also says to render unto Caesar, what is Caesar’s and unto God, what is God’s. Vetting the preaching of the Word does not fall under Caesar.
