After sending about 700 rounds down range from the exact same firing position, ISIS fighters finally catch on to the location of the Hollywood machine gunners after spotting their white socks. The round seems to miss the 240 gunner by a few inches as it punches through the weak mud cover. According to this video, the next supply drops we send should include thousands of M240 and M249 barrels.

That barrel aint gonna last long if they keep up in that manner.
Clearly untrained.
quite impressive ....not
Making noise and counting on magic bullets to go wherever they are supposed to go.
Spray and Pray...!
Not even looking through firing hole, just hosing the area down on the other side.
Love this comment.
“*empties 3rd belt* “ did yah get him?” “Not yet” “well we’re obviously doin this right so just keep loading and I’ll spray aimlessly” “OK!” “Ahhh now we’re getting shot at! Leave all the things that we may defend ourselves with and just go inside and act like nothing happened.....” Lmao These guys keep getting funnier and funnier”

Here is an amazing (and startling) statistic out of Iraq and Afghanistan: the United States has fired an estimated 250,000 for every insurgent killed. The U.S. is going through so much ammo that manufacturers are struggling to keep up. In another milestone, U.S. troops in Afghanistan now surpass the number in Iraq.
The U.S. military are now importing ammo from Israel to keep up the rate of fire.
US forces have fired so many bullets in Iraq and Afghanistan an estimated 250,000 for every insurgent killed that American ammunition-makers cannot keep up with demand.
The General Accounting Office (GAO) reports that our forces are now using 1.8 billion rounds of small-arms ammunition a year a level of use that has more than doubled in five years.
The report states:
The Department of Defenses increased requirements for small- and medium-calibre ammunitions have largely been driven by increased weapons training requirements, dictated by the armys transformation to a more self-sustaining and lethal force which was accelerated after the attacks of 11 September, 2001 and by the deployment of forces to conduct recent US military actions in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Iraqi Rambo?
Is that anything like Turkish Star Trek?
Aman benim.....
When I was in the Marine Corps we were expected to produce one dead enemy body for each round fired.
Could this be covering fire?
That's back when we were all primarily riflemen, trained in marksmanship and got an a** kicking for wasting ammo!
Carlos Hathcock Rocks!
No, that wasn't expected of Marines, nor was it a reality.
JarHead;
You musta been in around 1900 when the Lee Straight Pull 6mm was standard issue to the Corps.
Sure, eve the Army Drills Sgts demanded we account well with each and every round, especially during BCT Rifle Quals, but assault fire and movement required suppressive fires from the element in contact, so the assaulting element could maneuver over the enemy position and destroy them with close quarters fires. Lots of well aimed but rapid fire bullets help.
Most militaries’ of today tend to throw rounds indiscriminately, hoping to achieve either or both suppression or hits, usually with little to no effect.
Semper Fidelis, thanks for your service...
We spent how much training these incompetent morons?
Is that why they ordered so many for domestic agencies?
Ha, ha. Not quite.
But I was active when we had to hump our own 30.06 ammo for the Garand and B.A.R.
And then .308 ammo for the M14.
When you have to hump those heavy bandoliers and magazines of 30.06 or full magazines of .308 you are motivated to make every round count.
