Almost All Mass Shootings Have This in Common… And It Has Nothing to Do With Guns
Conservative Tribune ^ | 10/22/14

Liberals would have Americans believe that mass shootings are caused by the ready access to firearms in the United States.

If that were true, however, it would not explain why over nine out of 10 mass shootings occur in areas where it is more difficult to own or carry a firearm, as a recent study proved.

Nor would it explain why mass murders committed with guns, which outnumber bicycles in the United States by a factor of three-to-one, are responsible for about 4% as many deaths as bicycle accidents.

There is, however, a possible link between mass murderers who use guns and numerous other violent incidents, including murders, assaults, and suicides, according to the Liberty Crier (H/T MadWorldNews).

“The overwhelming evidence suggests the single largest common factor in all of these incidents is that all of the perpetrators were either actively taking powerful psychotropic drugs or had been at some point in the immediate past before they committed their crimes,” the report said.

The report cited “multiple credible scientific studies” and “internal documents from certain pharmaceutical companies” as saying that some psychotropic drugs have dangerous but unreported side effects.

Selective Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors can reportedly lead to suicidal or violent behavior in people who take them. The report cites www.ssristories.org as one website that lists over 4,500 such cases.

Liberty Crier provided just a short list of examples:

Instead of more meaningless "sensible" gun control legislation advocated by Mikey Doomberg, and his groupies Mom's Demand Action (I call them Moms Impugning Legal Firearms, or MILF for short) and others, how about some sensible DRUG CONTROL legislation, and better scrutiny of the shrinks who prescribe them?

But liberals argue people should have the freedom to take drugs - then they flip around and tell people guns are dangerous for them.

Yup!

And notice the painful details we were given about Robin Williams’ suicide. But, we never heard what meds he was on, did we?

Good grief. This is a stretch, to say the least.

Yes. There is a common link among these murderers. They are taking powerful psychotrophic drugs because they are bat shit crazy, they’re prescribed drugs that help, but side effects and sanity isn’t any fun, so they go off the meds, they kill people.

From Massachusetts, to Texas, to Arizona, to Colorado, to Connecticut. It happens over and over again.

It’s not the drugs, but disturbed minds that our accept-all wishywashy society won’t lock up.

Why are teens and pre-teens being prescribed these drugs?

Answer: A boy acts like a boy is deemed dangerous by liberal school personnel and his liberal parents send him to a doctor more than willing to make a quick buck prescribing this garbage.

Though news of it was released late in the news cycle, I think the knowledge that he was facing Parkinson’s Disease was the biggest factor in Robin Williams’ suicide. It is a long drawn out path of losing both mental and physical capacity that would be difficult for anyone to face even if they don’t struggle with depression.

Actually it is the perfect acronym for them.
Why would they object?

I’m no friend of the “Moms Demand” anti-gun groups, but that’s kind of a stupid acronym you made up, Impala.

The common factor is “Liberals”. Show me a conservative mass murderer anywhere.

it’s’not just that.

undisciplined boys. and girls. but you can’t discipline them the way that works. fact is you do it when young so they remember and then just the threat of discipline works, most of the time.

Psychiatry and psychology are two of the biggest jokes in the history of mankind. I have zero respect for either profession. Their "work" is totally subjective, and most of the time totally ineffective (does anyone know anyone who was ever "cured", or even made less psycho, after being "treated" by one of these kooks/crooks?), and they often make their patients far WORSE than they were when they started "treatment".

All you psychiatric "professionals" feel free to flame away - I could care less. Your profession is a joke. Oh wait, that must mean I have some mental disorder and require "treatment".

I don’t think drugs, guns, TV, games, or any other inanimate items cause this sort of behavior. I think these people were broken inside to begin with and they freely chose to do sick, bad things. The drugs were used because of the way these people were to begin with; I do not think drugs made them what they are or caused them to do what they do. It would be a pretty big leap to decide to kill people if you aren’t inclined to do that to begin with regardless of what kind of substance you’re taking.

Why do some people choose to kill simply for the sake of killing? That’s a question asked since forever ago and the material world cannot explain it. Material objects like guns and pills do not “do” anything. Just my 2 cents for whatever its worth.

Conservatives should have the honesty to recognize that guns are a tool often used in these mass murders. The more efficient the tool, the more people the nut is able to kill quickly. Some guns are more efficient for this purpose, particularly those designed for combat, where a lot of firepower is important.

Had the recent shooter in CT been using a double barrel shotgun, it is highly likely the death toll would have been a lot lower.

IOW, the freedom we have by the 2nd Amendment means that an unpleasant side effect is that occasionally some nut will use these weapons to kill a lot of people. It is at least to some extent the cost of that freedom.

We recognize this with other types of tools, though not consciously. If we had a national speed limit of 10 mph that was effectively enforced, the highway death toll would drop to nearly zero. But instead we’re willing to pay the price of 30,000 dead Americans a year to be able to function efficiently on the highways.

If there are a lot of guns around, and a normal number of nuts, every so often one of the nuts will take one of the guns and follow the direction of the voices in his head. And a bunch of people will die.

We will always have nuts. With guns very hard to get, there would be fewer such incidents, but at considerable cost to freedom.
