Eight-year-old Gabe, featured in this video, is the younger brother of one of the players, and honorary captain of the Rhinelanders Junior Varsity football team.
According to his older brother who posted the video to reddit, Gabe has Down Syndrome and is the Rhinelanders biggest fan.
During the last game of the Hodags season, the team put Gabe into play, and orchestrated it so he would be guaranteed to score a touchdown. He is only eight, after all.
What makes it more special is that the opposing team, Mosinee, fumbled and flopped all over the field as though they were being outrun by an athlete twice their size.
Not only did the stands witness Gabes dream coming true, but they got to see two football teams really go the distance to make a little boys day. Moments like these are the ones everyone will remember.

Everyone deserves to feel like a winner once in a while.
What a bunch of hams. That cracked me up.
HTGLOL - Honest To God Laughed Out Loud!
Rhinelander and Mosinee...I assume that’s in Wisconsin...
The video is cute and very nice for both teams, but I have always thought that teams should try their best to win. Couldn’t they have done the same thing during half-time so it wouldn’t eat up game time?
Somebody showed this in a segment on Fox last night - really great....
Really? Dude you are waaaay too serious. Both teams learned more about life from that 2 minute act than they ever will from a lifetime of “serious” football.
Good on the Mosinee team...making it appear to the young’un that they were “after” him and not just letting him run the field...
An all around nice thing that was done by all involved.
