I’ve seen some electoral maps indicating that she will win but RCP is showing only a lead well within the margin of error and now with this on top of it......

Sounds like it's panic time for the Rats in NC.Given that Obola lost NC in ‘12 after winning it in ‘08...combined with his approval numbers being in the toilet...it's easy to see why Rats in all but the unabashedly Communist states would be pessimistic.

Her advisors believe she has nothing to gain with another debate, the last one led to a decline in polling. It’s within a few percentage points now, so they bailed. They’ve also resorted to SPLC-style fearmongering to scare up the black vote. They’ve been putting flyers under windshields outside black churches with photos of lynchings and rhyming Johnny Cochran-style political slogans.

It is pretty bad when an empty chair can do a better job than the candidate. Especially an incumbent. NC voters might want to remember that.

Is it getting that bad for Hagan now?

Two possibilities:

yes, she has internals that tell her she is going to lose, so she isn't going to sacrifice her personal situation to the race,

no, she knows the fix is in and she can't lose, so she isn't going to sacrifice her personal situation to the race.

The race is tightening up, but I’m still unsure how it will go down on 11-4. My beloved state has become so overrun with liberal Yankees that Hagen could easily stay our senator.

I’ll be voting for Tillis, but frankly it’s more of a vote against Hagen then for Tillis. The days of Jesse Helms, are, unfortunately over :(

Democratic Senate candidate Kay Hagan skipped tonight's debate in North Carolina

Why is Weekly Standard misleading the public? Shouldn't it read, "Democratic Senator Kay Hagan skipped tonight's debate in North Carolina"?

this is good new, I suppose.

I am predicting +8 for the GOP,
+9 if we win NC.

The debate went on the air and there was only an empty seat where the Dim candidate should have been? That should hurt Hagan under any normal circumstance. Sounds like she feared questions about her personal problems more than she feared the negative impact of being a no show.

Maybe this will put the Republican over the top the last two weeks, uninspiring as he seems to be by most accounts.

there is a libertarian in the race. it remains to be seen if this libertarian does the only thing libertarians ever do; send a other extremist liberal to congress.

Normally you only cancel a debate when you have a commanding lead, if you do it because of your own scandals it is a sign of a sure loser
