Muslim burial practices are being blamed for the spread of Ebola.

Islam requires family members to personally wash the corpses of loved ones from head to toe. This practise is putting more Africans at risk to catch the disease that is spread by body fluids.

Yikes, I read this morning at some news source that burial practices and washing of bodies was responsible for spread of ebola…but they FAILED to mention it was a Muslim practice.
I know about the washing of the corpse in Islam (Jews do it too—at least the orthodox)but even among Christians and others is there a good bit of touching of the dead in Africa? This coming from more of a cultural practice than a religious command.
Who am I to condemn Muslim burial practices. The Muslims can crawl into the grave with the dead for all that I care.
I don’t see an issue with this practice for muslims.

Obama utterly failed in his most basic responsibility, to keep America safe. He is the Chief Executive in charge. Ebola was a known threat. His policies allowed it to come to the US. Obama cannot hide behind congress, or behind some bureaucrat. Obama owns this abject failure. May his soul burn in hell.
Quarantine the muslims. Let them do their thing.

This is a cultural thing, not a religious thing. Many African cultures (and other cultures) practice ritual washing of bodies before burial.
Well, that’s just a darn shame.
