There is something else that is fundamental to the ignorance of younger Americans that is the basis of their ill-conceived and all-too-common worldview. While education and political correctness have contributed to the problem, the diminution of ethical and moral behavior as encouraged by our popular culture has created a void in (1) their capacity to think critically (2) to comprehend the idea (and reality) of consequences (3) and to make judgments and discriminate in an absolute fashion. All is relative. Unfortunately, these characteristics cannot be remedied through political means or other circumstances up and to include the collapse of their physical world.

I see it all the time online from younger people. White people are evil, Christians are evil, this country is evil, homosexuality is wonderful, the borders should be wide open, white people should die off, Obama is God, etc. I wonder how many of these young people are post-1965 immigrants or their offspring. Thanks to our generosity (stupidity) in allowing that 1965 law, traditional Americans are now openly hated in their own country.

I think that most of us share your hope. The problem is that Obama has--as to a lesser extent Clinton & Bush II had--been aggressively flooding the country with folks who do not even have any traditional American frame of reference. The debate between the focused youth & the "Liberal" sheep, being turned out by Academia, will not even be noticed by this incongruous immigration, that Obama has deliberately encouraged, largely for the reason, I suggest.

Yet, of course, we should all do everything possible to encourage the youth to which you refer. I have been trying to do so, since I emerged from a very far Left College, many years ago. The Conservative Debate Handbook was written largely for that purpose.

Talking to them is an exercise in futility.

It’s like trying to talk to a drunk or a mental defective.

He made a point in the article about written exchanges, the conversation is documented. This is so true, I always catch liberals lying this way, and always results in me posting their own words to show their lies or contradictions. It happens every single time. It’s not worth my time anymore.

This is because liberals live in their own manufactured reality. This is why they are always “right”.

If the left would hold all the countries of the world and their past and present to the same standard that they hold the United States, America looks pretty damn good.

What I have learned is that they have memorized the leftist cliches and slogans REALLY well.

^^This!^^

I am the nonconformist of my family and many of my friends and I've learned the same thing whenever politics come up.

Learning today seems to be more a matter of memorizing data long enough to pass a test, rather than thinking something through from one end to the other and integrating that journey into one's being.

Politics, especially election year politics, is where this sort of limited programming comes to fruition for the programmers as the memorized data is incomplete and geared to allow emotion to carry what the facts cannot.

One look at "Global Warming", now aka "Climate Change", is all it takes to understand the template the programmers use, but there are so many others you'll trip over them with every step. The examples are everywhere now.

Agreed. I think this is a bit of perception while real to some degree. I’m often surprised that with all of the liberal indoctrination how much of it is just ignored. Of course, some don’t and swallow it hook, line and sinker. I’ve met many younger people that have conservative oriented views...knowing that they’ll, most likely, just solidify as they mature (with real life experience).

This is why, as I’ve said many times before on FR, our nation is lost and irrecoverable apart from divine intervention.

We are now facing our 3rd generation of brainwashed Marxists coming out of HS and college. With each generation, the percentage of those brainwashed has increased......to the point of no return.

And if they aren’t brainwashed, they are blithering idiots who don’t know what’s going on anywhere in the world, here, or what Ebola is. And they don’t care as long as they’ve got their smartphones & video games. They live in a make-believe world - and vote straight Democratic.

Even if conservatives had a plan to instantly and totally take over the educational system AND media, the damage is irreversible. We are no longer a republic following a constitution, but a democracy with a large majority of idiots voting according to all the lies they learned in school and continue to hear on what little media they watch.

And as Rush said, it doesn’t matter if the Repubs win the Senate. Nothing will happen either way.

And as Mark Levin has said, the real issues are not political - they are cultural. And in that arena, most Repubs are as bad as the Dems.

So we need to be praying for divine mercy, forgiveness, and intervention.

"slap their silly faces until they wake up from their daydreaming."

This needs to go viral. Excellent. I have a granddaughter who has similar opinions of her contemporaries. "They're empty heads. I'd like to smack them." Her mind is set on being a lawyer with a good grasp on the Constitution and God, the true source of freedom.

I think the parents have to buy into the liberal mindset somewhat for the kids to really stick with it. I could tell that one young lady I know was reading only liberal sources in college and all, but she is very intelligent and I expected reality to boot her off her cloud once she was in the working world. Hasn’t happened, and I think it hasn’t happened because she’s still living with her parents and not really working or moving forward on the independence front, despite having graduated from college some years back.

And to be honest, if my kids came home from college spouting that stuff, I’d sit them down and face them with some cold, hard facts. I was converted from liberalism for life by my 9th grade Government teacher, who said we could defend any system of government we wanted in his class — but we had to use real life examples. Great guy, Mr. Stratman.

But I think even without him I would have gotten it eventually, because my parents had no time for limiting yourself to one side of an issue, and my mom, in particular, believed you had a responsibility to understand where both sides were coming from before deciding where you stood on anything you might be voting for. Jewish and Catholic kids in the public schools have been getting separate classes on what their parents believe for years; conservative parents whose kids are in the public schools need to do the same.

hollywood + academia = liberal

Let's see...

Send little junior to public(indoctrination)schools for 13 years.

Junior gets home from school and plops in front of the TV for more indoctrination.

Junior then goes to college to solidify all that indoctrination(peer pressure)and learns how to indoctrinate others.

...and people are actually surprised by the product that comes out of this process?

...hell, I'm surprised traditionalists haven't replaced gays in the closet by now...post baby-boomer gen., they probably will.
