The likelihood of a Republican Senate takeover continues to increase with all three major election models giving the GOP at least a six in ten probability of winning the six seats the party needs to win take back control.

The trend lines in both the LEO and FiveThirtyEight models highlight movement over the past week toward Republicans -- with a slight tick back toward Democrats in the last few days."

Just don’t pee on me and tell me it’s raining by...

I won't, but the best strategy is to gain the majority, including the squishes, that will empower the TEAs, who will make noise and trouble for the RINOs. Then, slowly but surely replace GOPe with TEApublicans until we really have something.

Just the opposite of what the RINOs did in the first place.

OK, I get it. Your first priority is to destroy the Republican Party. Then, through some unexplained miracle you are going to destroy the Democrat Party and remove them from the unbridled power that they will have in the wake of the destruction of the Republican Party. Then, and only then, are you going to organize some Conservative entity that will find the magic perfect candidate, get this magic candidate elected without compromising the slightest bit on any position regardless of what the silly electorate might want, and then we will be back on track. In what century do you expect that to occur?

Let me know how that all works out for you. Hopefully the Democrats will allow you to communicate with the outside world while you are in the reeducation camp.

If there are conservative Senators, they still have to kiss the ass of RINO senate leadership.

The first state to secede, South Carolina, did so in December 1860, as a direct result of Lincoln's election one month prior.

Yes. The Confederate States of America were declared in February 1861, prior to Lincoln's inauguration.

Really? His incompetence doesn’t match the pure evil of Wilson, FDR or Johnson.

I rather donate both my kidneys than vote Bush, or Christie, or Romney for that matter.

It's not up to us to vote whatever dog meat they toss. It is up to the GOP to offer us a candidate deserving of office. The 20th century has had an abysmal record in giving us terrible Presidents.

Sounds almost impossible to do huh?

Imagine how much worse its going to be to destroy the socialist influence in our lives with socialists in our own party? THAT is impossible...

My guess is that you and those like you have surrendered to the belief that socialism is here to stay. You just want the GOPe version of it... heh.. ok... Tell me how THATS worked out for you...

I have no problem with Mitch and Thad losing, but I don't think either of them will. Cochran is particularly dead to me.

That being said, ousting the Democratic Party leadership from their cubby holes in the Senate will be a limited positive development.

Lincoln's election directly led to secession. Sorry if historical facts confuse you.

WRONG!!! (sounds like a bell)

It's up to the conservative primary voters to get behind ONE suitable candidate instead of letting them fall away one-by-one, leaving only the RINO standing as the nominee.

Slow and steady wins the race and I have to agree, the only winning strategy at this point.

But I do wish the world would go to hell in a handbasket and we'd get to start over with the principles we began with. That won't happen so we have to make do the best we can.

Now... to your silly conjectures...

Specifically, its the Fed gov that needs to be completely knocked flat, wiped clean and rebuilt in the manner it was intended.

Thats not going to happen from the inside.

Our primary focus as “conservatives”, libertarians, and other anti socialists, should be the states. The states are the weapons to use against the fedgov. We eliminate the progressives from the republican party at the state level, clear out the progressive GOPe from elected positions within the state gov. We then use that state as weapon to “harass” the fedgov, and all progressive support groups within that state.

As we bring in more states we have those states and the “extreme right wing folks” elected to their governments work together in the war against the progressives in their states and the fedgov in general.

At the same time we work to purge the federal government of progressive GOPe and replace with SOLID limited government folks that will remain faithful to the cause. These guys need to know and agree that their whole reason for going to congress is to STOP EVERYTHING that isnt in line with our agenda. lock up the fed gov, slow it down. harass the the bureaucracies and their minions that work within. Give the States breathing room to do real damage against the socialist institutions that have been built up within every aspect of our lives. Free the people of the states from the tyranny of socialist rule.

In the end, we wont be able to reach everyone on every state, so we will need to separate from them permanently. Hopefully, peacefully but willing to defend against aggression if necessary.

This CAN be done..

What CANT be done, is achieve our freedom from within the institutions that the socialists have corrupted, with the help of the socialists themselves... THAT is the REAL fantasy...

Stop hoisting obama up as THE boogyman... Hes not... If he wasnt the face it would have been some other jackass doing the same things.

The problem is the socialists behind the scenes, not really the front guy. those same socialists exist within the GOP and we refer to them as RINO’s or GOPe. Their staff, advisers, etc are all part of the same socialist ideology as those who handle obama or any of the other democrats.

The GOP version of the socialists know they have to have a softer touch but they know that at best they will be able to continue to advance the socialist agenda (albiet a little slower.. see the Bush years / father and son) at worst they will make no progress but nothing will be repealed. They will be able to start from where they left off, always taking new ground...

The last election was going to get us the same people with different face guys... Yeah the touch would have been softer but the goals would have moved further into tyranny if mit had won. eventually another socialist in the dem party would win and that would allow them to slam down the gas pedal or a while.

Would you jump at the chance to work from within the democrat party to advance your agenda? Why is it so hard for you people to understand that the socialists HAVE jumped at the opportunity to work within the GOP? In fact, they now provide the “leadership” for the GOP...

The GOPe is fine with Obamacare. Their Big donors love socialized medicine. The obamacare pot of money is the motherload for careerists beltway types. Only the rubes on the GOP plantation think they will give that money up.

A newly installed GOP Congress can prove me wrong by passing the Vitter amendment removing their exemption and putting it on the kenyan’s desk. We both know that won’t be happening. Because they simply don’t care about us folks on main street.
