Can I ask why we are sending the military to Africa to deal with Ebola?

I’m all in favor of humanitarian aid and medical aid and all that. But should the military be involved in such an effort, that’s the question I wonder about. Is our military set up to do this; do they have expertise and training in dealing with disease epidemics??

I am starting to believe we are sending military men and women to Africa in order to get them sick with ebola and bring more of it back here.
