President Obama does not want to be a Supreme Court justice. He calls it "too monastic" for his own personality. Besides, in an interview with the New Yorker, President Obama acknowledges that he needs to get out of the "bubble" after what will be eight years as president of the United States.

“I love the law, intellectually,” the president tell the New Yorker, which says he sounds "tempted" at the idea of being on the Court. “I love nutting out these problems, wrestling with these arguments. I love teaching. I miss the classroom and engaging with students. But I think being a Justice is a little bit too monastic for me. Particularly after having spent six years and what will be eight years in this bubble, I think I need to get outside a little bit more.”

“Law clerks would research all the issues and ghost-write all his “decisions”

I misread that line, I seriously thought you wrote “ghost-write all his delusions”.

He made a bunch of back room deals so he could be the next UN secretary general.

I’m sure people will think that his comment was witty but he doesn’t understand the meaning of the word “monastic”.

He wants fainting audiences. He could be the next host of Let’s Make a Deal!

exit82 @8: "He deserves a tour of Ft. Leavenworth.

A very long tour."

Preferably, following his indictment, trial, conviction, and sentencing, Traitorobama should get a very short tour of Ft. Leavenworth's death row facilities.

I think that would be the perfect job for him. Make it a solo flight.

First he is entirely too stupid to be a Supreme Court Justice. Next he is entirely too radical. And finally he is a damn liar. The Supreme Court would not interfere with this bum’s golf game one bit.

But you don't have adoring fans clapping and fainting when you speak if you're a Supreme Court Justice. I think he'll be some kind of speaker, like for colleges, where he will demand high prices and have lots of adoration. He lives for adoration.

It would be the perfect job for him. Law clerks would research all the issues and ghost-write all his “decisions” And he could continue pretending to be a bigshot.

I disagree. He would find the Supreme Court, prestigious as it is, too confining. He wants all the world as a stage.

Besides, I doubt he'd get confirmed.

True in his mind, but Obama is a bore see how they walked out on him, who is going to sit and listen to that bum after he leaves office. Oh big wigs will lay money on him for some influence with the democrats but that’s about it. They will send him out to collect money so they don’t have to give him any.

At least Jimmy Carter built houses for some people.

He's lowered the bar with his own two picks for the Court.

Maybe he was thinking about a deal with Hillary--he won't sabotage her campaign in 2016 in return for her appointing him to the first vacancy on the Court.

He was President of the Harvard Law Review and didn't do anything to earn it other than being black, and left all the work to others (sort of like his Presidency), so he may think of the Supreme Court as more of the same. Only problem is if he spends all of his time on the golf course and leaves all the work to his clerks, word would get out.

That would be good. He can be the final straw for an
institution that has lost almost all credibility.

We have a pool and a pond. The pond would be good for you.

Teaching adjunct Community College law classes would be too good for this golfing, unaccomplished, shiftless, cocaine & pot sniffing individual. If he's so bright why hide the college transcripts, Barry?
