President Obama does not want to be a Supreme Court justice. He calls it "too monastic" for his own personality. Besides, in an interview with the New Yorker, President Obama acknowledges that he needs to get out of the "bubble" after what will be eight years as president of the United States.

“I love the law, intellectually,” the president tell the New Yorker, which says he sounds "tempted" at the idea of being on the Court. “I love nutting out these problems, wrestling with these arguments. I love teaching. I miss the classroom and engaging with students. But I think being a Justice is a little bit too monastic for me. Particularly after having spent six years and what will be eight years in this bubble, I think I need to get outside a little bit more.”

It would be the perfect job for him.

Law clerks would research all the issues and ghost-write all his “decisions”

And he could continue pretending to be a bigshot

Not to mention he’s unqualified as he has no knowledge or respect for the Constitution.

He deserves a tour of Ft. Leavenworth.

A very long tour.

Obama thinks it’s like being President , you sign up then do nothing and in this case for the rest of your life

First he is entirely too stupid to be a Supreme Court Justice. Next he is entirely too radical. And finally he is a damn liar. The Supreme Court would not interfere with this bum’s golf game one bit.

I think it also means that this fake phony fraud does not intend to ever (pretend to) work again.

Yeah, after eight years he'll go on to something more interesting.

"tempted" at the idea of being on the Court

What a huge ego to even consider this possibility. You've failed at the Presidency. What makes you think you could do any better as a Supreme Court justice?

What a sycophantic interviewer..

BS, it’s the dictator kind of thing; his way or highway; interacting with others isn’t his thing.

This is the most depressing part of the source article:

“The transformation of the D.C. Circuit has been replicated in federal courts around the country. Obama has had two hundred and eighty judges confirmed, which represents about a third of the federal judiciary. Two of his choices, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, were nominated to the Supreme Court; fifty-three were named to the circuit courts of appeals, two hundred and twenty-three to the district courts, and two to the Court of International Trade. When Obama took office, Republican appointees controlled ten of the thirteen circuit courts of appeals; Democratic appointees now constitute a majority in nine circuits. Because federal judges have life tenure, nearly all of Obama’s judges will continue serving well after he leaves office.”

The next conservative president is going to have his hands full undoing the damage. The Democrat Senate eliminated the filibuster for this goal, and at this point I hope that the Republicans don’t play nice when the tables are turned.

He said he’d “fundamentally transform” the nation, and he did.. by appointing judges that’ll haunt us with bad rulings for decades after he’s gone.

“Not to mention he’s unqualified as he has no knowledge or respect for the Constitution.”

He is also not q lawyer, having surrendered his license to avoid having it taken away.

His “love of teaching” comes from a semester as a part time instructor, where there is no record of anyone actually having him as an instructor.

The man isn’t qualified to be a bailiff in traffic court.

Do you have to be a licensed lawyer to be a Supreme Court Justice?
