Congress will not stop Amnesty by any means. So there is not a luxury to sit back and let others do it for us.
What you need to do now is research the legal basis for Obama's upcoming Executive Orders to create defacto amnesty and a movement to get those illegally granted amnesty to subsequentially illegally registered to vote. It WILL happen quickly. Your legal basis finding even if crude should then be immediately mailed to your state representative and your governor's office with URGENCY ascribed to the communication.
You should petition your governor to file in federal court for a preliminary injunction to Obama's amnesty EOs. Do not call them 'Amnesty EOs'; simply repeat the legal basis that renders these EOs unlawful and mention if necessary that you are not a lawyer but that you expect your state government and state lawyers to recognize the unlawfulness of the EOs expected.
But there are no such EOs yet! So what to do?
Until there is an EO, no federal suit can be filed EXCEPT FOR ONE OBAMA ADMIN BLUNDER caught by someone keeping a sharp lookout.

Now that is actionable in federal court because it states plainly in the RFP that this is in preparation for immigration reform.
Immigration reform is NOT YET LAW! Therefore, an action in Federal Court can go forward to stop this RFP process and any other actions that are not lawful.

But the fact is we need the congress to step in and they are the people that have the power and constitutional authority to.
And they won’t. Because they are fully owned by the Dems and already on record as being pro amnesty. Many of us gave the solution a long time ago. We said this is what would happen. Now it’s happening and everyone is shocked. Well, it’s not like this is or should be a surprise.

If you are in Texas, then you are in an ideal position to petition Governor Perry to do this now because the RFP is out.
Get a copy of the RFP, highlight in yellow where the basis is to prepare for immigration reform; call a legal advisory who has prepared points and authorities against expected amnesty EOs; put everything together and mail+fax+email+visit the governor’s office and get some state representatives to get behind you or in front of you.
So it as soon as you can, like tomorrow. And if you don’t have the time, ask people you know if they can do it.

Even if the courts overturn it, once he gets the physical green cards into the hands of those 34 million it will be Game Over. They’ll never give them back, and to anyone to whom they must present one they’re as good as legal.

I would bet that’s not what those conservatives would tell you.

We are talking about STOPPING IT while it gets sorted out in the Federal Courts.
We are buying time and it can buy a lot of time. It can stymie Obama on amnesty.
It’s easy to get a federal preliminary injunction order or federal temporary restraining order. Whether is stays in place is the question but it does stop it for some time and gets it out in the news what Obama is trying to do through the back door.
Federal officials, officers and federal contractors would be subject to arrest if they violate a federal court order. Therefore, this means of stopping Executive Amnesty is very very powerful, even if temporarily.

I want the Republicans to take the Senate. Do I think it will stop Obama? No.
I agree but it may slow him.
Also, I am sure you understand that the party that controls the senate controls the agenda in the senate. If republicans had controlled the senate in Obama’s first term, Obamacare would have NEVER MADE IT TO THE FLOOR.
IT’S ABOUT CONTROLLING THE AGENDA IN THE SENATE. The party in control decides what gets on the floor. They also have a lot of say as to who gets in our courts.

Maybe you can post a scanned copy of the already highlighted RFP. At the very least, it will make it easier to print and give to, or email, our Reps.
