It doesn’t appear that Obola is taking this matter seriously.

do you know what this is?

He’s giving the whole country the Benghazi rooftop non-rescue.

That’s what he’s doing.

We’re a nation of more than 300 million people.

So... how many of us are viewed as dispensable to the Obama Administration?

Thousands? Millions?

To adapt FlingWingFlyer's tagline a bit,

Barack Obama, honorary chairman of Viruses without Borders, played golf this afternoon...

". . . we have to keep this in perspective. As our public health experts point out, every year thousands of Americans die from the flu.”

Good idea - let's keep this in perspective.

Every year, one in ten thousand of those infected with the seasonal flu will die from flu-related causes. At least half of those with Ebola will die. Obama doesn't care if it doesn't interfere with his golf game. If Obama had any human loyalty, he would care - those at greatest risk are his voters. It's sad that his opponents are least at risk but object to endangering his supporters, while a carefree Obama enjoys the perks of the job without a care in the world.

Over half a million die from malaria every year in Africa. So, which is the real crises? Is it because obola is here in America? Is it like being attacked by Al Qaeda on 9/11?

The one and only reason the democrats are worried about obola is because of the elections.

this reminds me of something:

do you remember that worried woman who asked if her strong-willed but elderly mother would be permitted a life-saving operation under Obamacare?

And Obama said she should just take a PAIN PILL.

The WHOLE COUNTRY is now that mother.

This man is cold and hateful.

Is that like a Tupperware party? Except they all sit around and swap ideas about how to best kill off most of America?

“Obama chided Americans in his weekly Saturday address for being concerned over three cases of Ebola”

Well, yeah. A contagious disease with a 0.01% fatality rate doesn’t warrant quite the same concern as a 70% fatality rate.

At the same time, we have to keep this in perspective. As our public health experts point out, every year thousands of Americans die from the flu.”

Strawman argument at its finest. The flu does not emanate from Africa, Ebola does, and by restricting flights from Africa Ebola can be contained. The flu can not be stopped by halting any flights.

What that evening meeting shows is that the American people, rousing themselves finally, understand that the president will not do anything to stop Ebola from coming here, and now have little or no confidence in him and his regime.

This is so serious that a meeting to deal with it has forced Barry in to a 20 hour work week this week.

President Barack Obama convened a surprise meeting Saturday night on Ebola

CDC pulled their guidance for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sometime between 0700 and 1500 yesterday, and replaced it with "PPE Recommendations are forthcoming".

Sounds like they had decided what to do.

At 2039 yesterday, they announced that no new guidance would be released last night. As of 1543 today (all EDT), the website still says "PPE Recommendations are forthcoming".

When the book about this event is written, I bet you anything that the new guidelines were pulled because of that meeting, the result being that for more than 24 hours, the CDC has NO guidance about PPE for health care workers.

How could such a thing be possible???

Here's a theory: The professionals now know that body suits and useable total face protection, with a decon step before removal, are required. However, if that is issued as CDC guidance, then the answer to question one of the CDC Ebola FAQ must be changed:

(Question) Are U.S. hospitals ready to care for patients with Ebola virus disease (EVD)?
(Answer) Yes – any U.S. hospital that is following CDC's infection control recommendations and can isolate a patient in a private room is capable of safely managing a patient with EVD. CDC recommends that U.S. hospitals isolate the patient in a private room and implement standard, contact, and droplet precautions.

If CDC declares that BL-4 type precautions are needed for patient care (which is clear), then the answer "any US hospital" is wrong.

And if THAT is wrong, then the policy of allowing West Africans incubating EVD to enter the country without quarantine and have free movement in the interior is also wrong - and the White House is not ready to acknowledge that.

Hence the promised PPE recommendations are not available yet, 24 hours after the old ones were pulled.
