They call people of Pakistani origin “Asian” in GB. It’s been explained here why that is - East Asia, if I remember correctly.

Possible exception to “nothing positive” would be Middle Eastern cooking. Many restaurants and bakeries owned by Muslims around the Detroit area offer delicious food at attractive prices. Not much different than Greek food for which Detroit and Chicago are also known - especially desserts.

I think those desserts are way too sweet, don’t you? I used to live in Curry Hill in Manhattan (Murray Hill) and one Middle Eastern grocer would always hand me one of those candied dates - he was being nice. Try disposing of one while trying to be polite!
