Obama: 'We May See More' Ebola Cases in America

President Barack Obama urged Americans on Saturday not to succumb to hysteria about Ebola, even as he warned that "we may see more" cases and said fighting the deadly virus would require citizens, government leaders, and the media to pitch in.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama also pushed back against calls for the U.S. to institute a travel ban. Lawmakers have called it a common-sense step to prevent more people with Ebola from entering the U.S., but Obama said such a ban would only hamper aid efforts and screening measures.

"Trying to seal off an entire region of the world — if that were even possible — could actually make the situation worse," Obama said. [Who said anything about sealing off the region? How about just keeping them out of the country?]

"Fighting this disease will take time," Obama said. "Before this is over, we may see more isolated cases here in America. But we know how to wage this fight." [Mean like ISIS? Healthcare?]

Shut down immigration from West Africa, bozo.

Now.

Keep it shut down until the virus is eliminated there, or there is a vaccine.

Who believes this crap??
I know, low info peeps..

GOP should be pouncing on this! But as usual, they’re sitting on their hands because a ban would be racist.
Bring that bill up in house & make them vote on it. Won’t go anywhere in Senate but would give GOP good ads/talking points for the final stretch.
Cruz, Lee etc..need to make a lot of noise.

The obvious solution is to "Classify" the new Ebola cases for reasons of national security. That way reporting on them to the public is illegal.

Problem solved, Obamastyle.

But we know how to wage this fight.

By hiring a political hack who knows nothing about medicine? Maybe we could set up a million dollar ad campaign in which we link ebola's past with oil companies and shady bankers. I see lots of slow motion black & white film with ominous music and a deep voiced announcer asking "can you really trust ebola in November?"

Obama says 'We May See More' Ebola Cases in America...

The ding-a-ling got that right----he just announced he's bringing in West African Ebola patients to be treated in the US w/ our tax dollars.

BTW, it cost $500,000 to treat dead Liberian Duncan.

Central America hellholes are also dealing w/ Ebola. ......any of those Ebola victims can stroll across the southern border w/ Mexico to get free medical care.

PASS THE WORD FAR AND WIDE---HERE'S WHAT OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATS HAVE IN STORE FOR AMERICANS Secretary of State John Kerry warned of a new surge of illegals, just as Central America is being hit by a new wave of epidemics. No doubt about it: President Obama's open-borders policy is exposing us to disease, too.

In a background press briefing at the U.N. last Tuesday, a senior State Department official said Secretary of State John Kerry told his counterparts from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico that the pause in minors coming across our southern border was temporary, and that "we have to use this time to put in place more efforts, greater efforts to get at the root cause of this, because we know that those numbers may rise again."

The next wave may be worse than the first, however, because monsoon conditions, a harsh drought and the globalization of transport are ensuring that the 50,000 or so unscreened new entrants will be bringing a raft of new diseases with them.

Though little reported, the Caribbean is on high alert for the spread of chikungunya, known as "the virus of pain." Its Tanzanian-origin Bantu name means "to contort," describing the agony it leaves in joints for years. Some 183,000 cases were detected in the region this year as it spreads from the same mosquitoes that transmit dengue and yellow fever. Central America, according to a report in El Pais, is the epicenter. Puerto Rico has reported 2,000 cases and three deaths.

But the disease has worked its way up to the U.S.; Texas and Florida reported victims who have already contracted it without traveling to the affected regions. INVESTORS BUSINESS DAILY.COM REPORT....Read more at news.investors.com ...

BTW, it cost $500,000 to treat dead Liberian Duncan.

And that doesn't include treatment for those who caught Ebola from him.
