A woman who caused an Ebola scare Friday and caused police to shut down a Pentagon entrance and a portion of the parking lot later confessed to hospital officials she had fabricated a story about recently traveling to West Africa, multiple government sources told Fox News.

So now everybody is lying! Or, being accused of wanting their 25 minutes of fame? Sorry, but this is not consistant with the CDC changing course on how the virus behaves. Not too hard to print some greenbacks to pay these people off. I say, that all the people reported to be cleared, should be interviewed in some capacity, so the rest of us can witness their behavior and appearance. This is not jiving...
Have you read her bio and that of the firm (she was partner) she worked for? She sounds like a completely credible person to me.
From what Total Spectrum says they do, it would totally fit that she had been in West Africa.
There are other reasons that some people may want to deny this at the moment.
“Are quarantines optional now?”
I do not believe they are federally mandated or enforced.
They simply ask you to stay inside and will have public health officials check your vitals a few times a day.
They do not lock you in your home and do not stop you if you leave.

But, I bet she was not recently in West Africa.
Could be, but her background in health insurance and public policy is quite curious, at least to me.
At best she was in Africa ten years ago and misunderstood the question.

It would totally fit, except for the small matter -- which I read in this article -- that the Managing Director of Total Spectrum explicitly said, excuse me, "claimed", that she didn't.
Pretty much my take on things. He is the same as a muslim terrorist.
Why are you comfortable questioning Thames’ motive and not her Managing Director’s?

I have read nothing to support that theory.
However, we do need to know everything about this woman.
She is an employee of Washington DC based Total Spectrum.
Consider this:
The Pentagon is in the process of sending thousands of troops to West Africa. Someone who had recently been there and had become infected might cause near mutiny among the rank and file.
Lock her up and throw away the key. We need her name. She has to be someone important or related to someone important to have been invited to whatever ceremony.
If she’s lying, it’s easy to explain away as mental illness as some have done here. If he’s lying, at a minimum we must assume that he, people at the State Department, and one or more international airlines are colluding to wipe away any trace of the claimed trip.

My thoughts, as well. Is she lying or are “they” lying?
If she was not invited to this event, what kind of credentials got her on a bus bound for an event at the Pentagon? So many questions....
